The frustration factor in network marketing

My mother didn't raise a fool, but I must tell you here and now; I am involved in the MLM industry. That's right, the same industry with the 95% failure rate among members (I'll tell you why a little later), the one that has you calling family and friends and telling them if they share this new super-duper product with others, they will retire wealthy. And the same industry that insist you purchase a bunch of product to have on hand to support the growth of your organization. Never mind you have just about maxed out your credit cards trying to fund your new business. I am sick and tired of seeing ad after ad saying "join my organization and you'll be wealthy in 12 months"!

I am NOT one of those network marketers who stands in front of my Ferrari parked in front of my 6000 sq ft beach house. I don't own either. Were you as frustrated as I was trying to get family members , friends, and co-workers to the evening meetings after a hards days work along with a tough commute. Trying to convince them they want something we both know they really DON'T want. I have literally had my heart ripped out leaving a MLM because I'd gone too far in debt, or the owner of the company ran off with the money. It happens. I could go on and on. The frustration factor in this industry is off the charts! The aftermath being skepticism, crushed spirits, and promises of never listening to another opportunity again, make our industry look like a haven for crooks and low-lifes. Why put up with it?

Because of the potential gains of anyone who dares to grind it out in this industry. People are succeeding in network marketing. And let me remind you of the incredible benefits: You will divorce yourself from the rat race. No 8 to 5! Which also means NO BOSS!!!! You set your hours for working your business. All the time wasted commuting is wasted no more! YOU DICTATE how much you work and how much you earn! And do you know with all the benefits just mentioned along with others that weren't, it wasn't enough to bring me back to network marketing. What brought me back to the industry was the "new attraction marketing model", that trashes forever the weekly hotel meetings, the "warm list" of family and friends (that's what I'm talking about), and expensive advertising. Probably the main reason MLMs have been such a struggle for me is I DON'T LIKE CHASING PEOPLE, and trying to convince them to join me. What I find so exciting about this new model of attraction marketing is you advertise ( there are so many inexpensive ways, online and offline), and INTERESTED PEOPLE CONTACT YOU!! WOW!! You only spend time talking with people who want more information on what you're involved in. What a dramatic difference this has made in the prospecting (usually the toughest) aspect of building an organization. When I understood this, I immediately began looking for a company to join.
