The Forthcoming End of ‘Ethiopia’: Oromos Unite to Demolish Africa’s Most Inhuman Tyranny
The Memorandum signed by the respective leaderships of FIO and FIDO consists in one of the founding texts of the forthcoming great Oromo state.
For reasons of security, we do not expand on the meeting details, date and place, but we publish herewith the integral text of the Memorandum agreed upon and signed by the respective leaderships of FIO and FIDO; we believe that it consists in one of the founding texts of the forthcoming great Oromo state, bringing thus great hopes to the long tyrannized, yet Ancient and Noble, Kushitic Nation of the Oromos.
Memorandum of Understanding between FIDO and FIO
Background
For many nations of the world, the 19th century was a century of colonization. Millions and millions of human beings that belong to the colonized people were brutally murdered, their lands were forcibly taken, and their lives were reduced to slavery by the subjugating forces. The 19th century was the beginning of the still ongoing Abyssinian colonial rule and genocide in Oromia.
Hundreds and thousands of Oromian heroes perished to secure the independence of their country, and to regain their inalienable rights, human dignity and national sovereignty.
The demand of the Oromo nation to re-establish a free and democratic republic of Oromia has continued since Oromia has been colonized by Abyssinian conquerors.
In order to realize this demand, i.e. the restoration of popular sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the sovereign existence of the Oromian independent republic, it is high time for Oromian independent forces to bring their armed forces, human resources and expertise and use it together to speed up this lofty Cause.
Therefore, convinced that the re-establishment of an independent democratic republic of Oromia is the only option to safeguard the full-fledged Oromian national existence;
Acknowledging that Oromian patriotism and heroism is encoded within and symbolized by the anti-colonial, an independent national defence based on the revival of democratic Gadaa culture;
Rejecting the psychology of defeatism, capitulationism, opportunism, political and economic manoeuvrings aimed at compromising Oromian national Independence;
Recognizing that the struggle to liberate Oromia from Abyssinian colonialism and to launch the process of decolonisation demands Gadaa-based, anti-colonial, ideological Unity, national patriotism, the full participation and the committed backing of all the Oromo people, and the total mobilization, coordination of human, material, and spiritual resources;
Noting that it is infeasible and implausible to realize the task of dismantling the Abyssinian colonial system and building an independent, free and democratic Republic of Oromia without a viable Grand National Strategic Plan of Action;
Realizing that the task of mobilization, the full participation and coordination of human, material and spiritual resources of Oromia is hampered by the fractured leadership of Oromian forces;
Convinced that in the absence of a Pan-Oromian umbrella and formidable strategic alliance, it is unthinkable to rally the vast majority of anti-colonial forces and accelerate the destruction of Abyssinian colonial state machinery,
Convinced that the formation of a political alliance for the Independence of Oromia is crucial, timely, and historical;
Conscious of the task of defeating opportunism and capitulationism requires a determined, resolute and collective struggle that is lead by strong national strategic leadership;
We, the undersigned FIO and FIDO, Oromian independent organizations, have unanimously adopted this bilateral agreement, and herewith formed a political alliance for the eradication of Abyssinian colonialism, and the formation of Independent Democratic Republic of Oromia.
1) Both FIO and FIDO agreed to eradicate Abyssinian colonialism and establish an independent democratic Republic of Oromia – a state that practices democracy and centralism.
2) Both organizations agreed to support and work together to promote and strengthen ULFO (United Liberation Force of Oromia) and rededicate themselves for the consolidation of a sustainable Oromian strategic understanding, based on unity of purpose.
3) If any or both organizations co-operate with the enemy i.e. Abyssinian colonial regime or its collaborators either openly or in secret, the Memorandum of Understanding becomes null and void.
4) Both organizations agreed to support one another in the area of defense, politics, diplomacy, economy and mass organization.
5) Both organizations agreed to coordinate their actions, exchange information and expertise.
6) Both organizations agreed that within the strategic Memorandum of Understanding our policy must be one of ideological, political and organizational independence and initiative, i.e. both unity and independence among the two signatory parties are necessary.
7) Both organizations agreed to regularly meet and devise strategic plan of action that enables to put the above agreement into practice.
8) Both organizations unanimously agreed to form a joint coordinating committee that is given the mandate of practically implementing the agreements and reporting the result of their activities.
