The End of a Chapter..

The time has come for us to say goodbye
We sit here now, together, not bothering to hide the tears we may cry
We’ve listened to the speeches and the hours of advice
But now it’s all real, this is the beginning of a new chapter, a new life

We’ve had our laughs and liters of tears
While telling each other our darkest secrets and deepest fears
We may all part ways in the years ahead
And this is the one of the many things that we secretly dread.

To our parents,
Our first 18 years are finally done
And now you’re time free from us has finally begun
You’ve been with us through our good times and bad
Now seeing us all grown up, doesn’t it make you sad?
There will never be enough words to tell you how much we love you
And as you hear these words, you’ll know they are true.

To each other,
We’ve learned together and lied
We’ve laughed together and cried
We’ve grown up and had our fights
But now our school career is over, someone has hit the lights

Now the time has come to hang up our blazer and give that final hug and kiss
But let’s just take these final few minutes to silently reminisce.
