The End Is Not Near

The pain aches
As my teeth clench
And my body shakes
As my muscles wrench
I am again in agony
I am merely tragedy

Fate holds a sting in my face
Hoping that I will reach
I grab for the lace
My hand falls short of the feat
And yet again there is that bitter taste
The taste I have had so often
That turns my soul to waste

I lie in the dark
Waiting for the misery to subside
The pain has left a mark
A mark that can only be gone by suicide
But why should my life stop
I will live with this torment
Until it reaches the top
I will live when there is no reason
Except to see another season
That is how I will thrive
I will live when there is nothing but death
And when I can no longer survive
And all others have died
I will finally breathe my last breath
And be able to take my final rest
