The Emotions Behind The Pain

About my ex-boyfriend Ralphie
You’ve seen me cry
But you’ve never seen where my tears lie
You’ve seen me smile
But you’ve never asked me why or if it was real or fake
You’ve known me since I was young but yet you’ve never really known me at all
You never asked my age or my name all you know is my voice, quiet and soft
You’ve never care about me but yet you care what I think about you.
Or if I even think of you
You’ve seen me get mad at you for asking the same the same thing that I’ve answered 30 times
You said, "I love you" I doubted you every time and you seen the look in my eyes every time we was 2gether.
I wasn’t happy but you was because the things I was doing put a smile on your face
While tears poured down mine and you never asked me was I all right
You assumed I like it and you assumed I was all right and that wasn’t right.
Which made me wonder what kind of man are you?
No one knows the things we did, But everyone sees that you aren’t the perfect fit for me, like I thought you were or use to be.
You’re the same old boy from back in the day
The same old boy I thought I loved, but realized I hate
You and me are still cool, cuss it’s my fault I played your fool
And it’s my fault you had me trapped and I couldn’t get away
I thought you and me was great 2gether
I thought it was no one better then you and me but I was wrong all along
But since me and you are over every time I hear your voice my heart still skips a beat and soon I can not breath
It’s hard to explain just as hard to say that when I’m with you I’m incomplete
And when I’m apart from you I cannot breath
When will I be able to breathe and be complete?
Maybe the day I realize we aren’t meant 2 be and that stays with me
Maybe that will help me not to go back to you and me
And let go of everything we use to be
And everything I hoped and thought we could be
These are the emotions behind the pain that stays with me but I wish they’d go away.
