The Diary

Sometimes you think someone’s your friend until you realize they’re not. If this has happened to you please comment.
As I belabor this book
A passage she wrote
Nudges me to look
Words far from the gloat
Fell upon my eye
As fury runs through me
As I contemplate her cries
I wish I couldn't see
Just to shun all the lies
I put back the keys
And put down the lock
I get down on my knees
To turn back the clock
To what I please
