It may be a bit short....sorry :(
Ty's arms still wrapped around my waist and pulled me close. I could smell the cologne off him, and I went light headed.
"Um...why don't you come on in? If you have any other plans, I understand but-" He grabbed my hand and walked me towards the door to my apartment building. He opened the door and I led him inside. Just as we were about to walk up the stairs, I heard a door open. Me, being Leah, I peered over the side to see who it was. Mrs. Flowers, stood there with shaking hands, yet she always shook, and she had the cinnamon in her hands with a tray of cookies. I didn't want Mrs. Flowers, to walk all then way over to us so I stretched up on my toes and whispered in Ty's ear.
"Give me a second." He let go of my hand and I walked towards Mrs. Flowers happily, and she smiled that warm smile of hers and spoke up.
"Oh dearie, I was just about to bring you up the cookies." I laughed and I heard Ty laugh and then she handed me the cookies, and the cinnamon.
"Thank you Mrs. Flowers, but you shouldn't have." I held the cookies and the cinnamon in one hand. Mrs. Flowers reached over patting my arm gently speaking with her eyes closed.
"Darling, I wanted to. Oh, and if you don't mind me asking, who's that fine young man?" Mrs. Flowers eyed him, luckily, Ty had looked away at the time. I smiled at her and answered her question.
"A friend. I'll tell you more when I find out." Mrs. Flowers grinned, and laughed then winked at me.
"Goodnight Leah." She said and I smiled and went back to Ty as Mrs. Flowers went back into her apartment. Ty looked at me blinking hard.
"You wanna go now?" I asked him and I led him upstairs and then unlocked the door to my apartment. As he walked in he took off his shoes and set them aside by the door. He handed me his coat and then he went and sat on my couch. Then, I saw him jump a bit on the couch, so I quickly rushed over towards him.
"Ty, what happened?" I asked him a bit on edge, afraid to know. Then I looked down at his lap and then laughed. Liz had jumped up on him. I kept laughing and he put the cat aside and walked over towards me playfully smiling.
"You think its funny?" Ty asked me as I kept laughing. Had I ever seen a grown man jump in front of a cat.
"Ye...Yea...Yeah...." I said laughing more and more and he pressed me up against the wall, and he laughed with me, and his lips met mine again. When he pulled away in between he chuckled, and then kissed me again. I slipped away from him and spoke up.
"Do you want something to drink?" I asked, and I had a feeling that he thought my guard was up. Did he?
"Anything's fine." He said and I smiled as he followed me to the kitchen leaning against the counter as I got out filtered water from the fridge. Ty stared at me as I handed him the glass and I glanced over at the clock. It was 9:00, but to be honest, it felt earlier then that. I walked outside to the living room and sat down on the armchair with Liz. Ty laughed when he saw Liz, and he sat across from me.
"Are you afraid of cats? I can put her away if you want me to?" I hoped he wasn't, because I really loved animals.
"No, of course not. I have a dog myself, it's just your cat jumped out of nowhere!" He said laughing and then I grinned petting her, and she nuzzled herself against my side. He sipped his water, and set it down on the coaster.
"Hey, get comfortable, I hate watching you sitting like you're in the white house, and you have to be efficient." Liz's head shot up as he started laughing, sitting back.
"You free tomorrow?" He asked me, and I started blushing, but I tried to hide it.
"Yeah, I am, why?" I wasn't complaining about spending all this time together, to be honest, it made me happier then I had been in years.
"Well....its gonna be really nice outside, and I was wondering if you wanted to go down to the lake for lunch or something?" He stuttered a few times and I nodded still petting Liz under her ears.
"I would love that Ty." He smiled at me and then I put Liz on the couch as I got up.
"Where you going?" He asked and then I walked over behind the couch he was sitting on. Ty dropped his head back and looked at me.
"I want to show you around. I mean, its pretty small, but..."
"No, it's okay, I wanna see." He stood up and followed me down the hall and I gestured to the bathroom.
"The bathroom...." He laughed when he heard the way I said it, and we walked just a few steps further.
"Then, this is sort of my....fun room? I really have no other way to put it. I usually hang in here when I'm bored." Ty poked his head in and then I led him towards my room.
"I'm guessing this is your bedroom?" Great guess!
"Hah, yeah it is." I opened the door and we walked in and he looked around smiling. He saw all the stuffed animals scattered across the pillow and then looked up at me.
"My nephew comes over a lot, and I just collect them for him to play with. He's still a young one."
"Hey, I don't mind, I used to collect them as a kid." I walked over to him and he put a stuffed animal back on the bed and then he pushed away a strand of hair that fell to my face, and then kissed my lips. He kept kissing me and I stepped back and fell on to the bed, and Ty came falling onto me.
"Leah, are you okay?!" Ty shouted asking me as he met my lips one more time.
"Yeah!" I answered back and that was when I heard the doorbell ring. Ty moved back and then I ran to the door and opened it. There stood, a crying figure, make up smeared across her face, and she was shaking to death....
