More fighting...jealousy....and the new year hasn't even started yet!
We stared at each other and then we realized the crowd was soon seated we both got up and walked into the hall. People were chattering and looking back and forth at each other. Some were already eating, and then the people at the bar were literally sprawled across the counter...drunk. Ty looked down at me and then looked over at his table, full of guys.
"After dinner." He said and I nodded looking at my table. They all had thumbs up on there fingers and Allie was winking. I laughed and heard Ty's friends making smart comments. Quickly I approached my table and sat looking for Aimee.
"Who was that?" Lynne asked deviously and then Allie bent in closer to listen. Did I really wanna tell them? Best friends tell each other everything.
"Ty."
"Hot name." Allie remarked and then we all laughed. Then I looked down at my table and shrieked when I saw a bowl full of salad. Way too many greens in one serving. I grabbed my fork and stabbed at my salad and took a bite, then I felt somebody tap me on my shoulder. Quickly my head whipped up and I saw Aimee. She looked down and grinned then went and took her seat.
"What I miss?" Aimee asked fixing her dress before she started eating. I hope the guy topic wouldn't come back up. I didn't want to talk about him before anything really happened between us.
"Well Leah-" I cut Lynne off and spoke,
"You missed nothing, except that.....Allie, I met your boyfriend." Everybody stared at each other a bit confused.
"Did you...Joseph?" What was I supposed to say to her? I saw your boyfriend get in a fight and almost get his head thrown off?
"Yeah, he was...outside...when I was outside." Allie seemed to realize there was a back story, I winked which meant to her that I'd fill her in later. We kept eating and then we heard somebody on the microphone. I looked behind my shoulder and saw a few people gathered happily on the stage. Then realized quickly it was the main model for Victoria Secrets and grabbed Lynne by the arm.
"Rae Sheckler!" I said excitedly and then Allie's head shot up and I started seeing her anger erupt. Aimee grabbed at Allies arm and then Allie looked up at us.
"I'm fine...I just need some air." Allie stood up and walked out from the back door and Aimee was about to get up when I put my hand on hers and stood up, exiting. Yes, I felt eyes boring holes into my back and when I looked behind me, Ty and his guys were staring. Good...or....Bad?
The door shut behind me and I ran after Allie, making sure I wouldn't fall in my heels. Quickly, I got in front of her and backed against the door so she couldn't leave.
"What was that about?" I shouted and then she started huffing and puffing. I grabbed her arm and then she started calming down.
"That was supposed to be me up there! She lied, just today I heard that she said that I was sick and wasn't going to be able to make it!" Rae, seems nice...why would she say that? Oh right, publicity. Stupid of me to even consider that.
"There's always next year, I know it's a disappointment but Allie, we can't do anything. I'm sorry..." I led on and she looked up and her eyes started watering and then I pulled her into a deep hug and she muffled and sobbed and I looked through the glass door into the hall. Rae got off the stage and then I saw Allie straighten up, fixing her dress.
"She's coming." Allie said and then the door opened and closed and there stood Rae. Wearing a silver dress that flowed down her like a calm river flowing down a winding path.
"Allie." Rae said suddenly looking worried, I thought I saw a bead a sweat form on her forehead and her hand flew up and wiped it away.
"Rae. I heard you said I wasn't going to be here today?" Allie asked and then Rae stepped forward, her curls bouncing..
"Oh did you, I don't remember saying such?" Were they really going to act like 4-year olds. I was about to step in the middle before the hair pulling started.
"Do I look stupid? I'm not sick, or else I'd be home right now! If you want the limelight so bad, I think it's time you start learning how to work for things!" Allie shouted and then Rae pressed her back against the wall and fiddled with her hair.
"You're not stupid, but I'm surprised you're getting this nasty with me...by the way, I earned this!" Rae shouted and then I saw Allies arms scramble out and grab Rae. That was when I got in the middle and they both kept trying to grab at each other. Rae screamed, and Allie pulled her hair. 2 fights in one night, and I doubt there won't be another one. Allie fell back against the wall and Rae huffed and puffed as she hit the other wall as Allie did.
"Rae, Allie, you both need to drop this. There's always next year, and you know to be honest Rae, that was so four-year old. Don't think people aren't going to think wrongly of you when they find out about this." Allie's eyes shot up and she looked at me grinning, and Rae took a gander back and forth and started talking.
"If anyone finds out...so help me, I'll make sure Allie is out of job." Rae had her threats, but this is no time to give in to her stupidity.
"Just remember Rae, I've worked with Victoria Secrets years before you even laid eyes on an application for it, you better watch your words!" Allie shouted, there really is no need to get witty about this.
"No you watch your words Allie! I'll make sure you won't have a job if you speak of this!" Rae screamed and then I grabbed Allie before she did something stupid and regretted it later.
"Go ahead, have fun being the four-year old you've already proved yourself to be. Be the devious brat you lead out to be!" Allie shouted and erupted as she walked passed Rae and into the hall. I stared into Rae's eyes, giving her the look. She looked away and I walked into the hall. Eyes were on me, and then I looked to my side and saw Ty. He smiled and I smiled. Then, I reached my table and sat quietly, and Lynne and Aimee looked at me.
"It was nothing." I whispered as Allie was eating her food unhappily. I sighed because I know the girls, and they're not going to let me talk about anything else if I don't tell them what happened outside first. Very, very, very nosy I have to say. Is tonight gonna get any better....or will my new year start off as bad as I hoped it wouldn't....
