The Death Within

Many people say what you see is what you get but look closer inside and see what you won't get.
I walk down this darkened road for the thousandth time once again as lonesome as I was the first time with no one by my side. People watch as I begin to smile as if to say everything is okay but what they don't get is that I'm dying inside a little every time. As I play I hide what is inside this hollow shell of a man I once was. No one sees the tears fall from my eyes no their too busy making jokes and having fun as I sit in the corner with a smile on my face hiding the truth of the pain inside and I know no one cares for the person I hide deep inside my past. Hiding in my box of fears a power rises from deep within my heart tearing me apart little by little and I can't control it. Soon every one will know the secret of my dying flame as I lay down and give in to the death within but cry not for me because I'm already dead inside.
