The Darkness

The light in the darkness
The sun on a cloudy day.
You were my light
You were my sun.
But now it is dark
And I am empty.

This hole in my soul,
It just keeps getting bigger.
For the light has burned out,
And the night has come.
My heart has turned cold,
And my spirit has been caged.

My tears fall silently,
To broken to make a sound.
To shattered to weep for what is lost.
For you have left,
And my all is gone.

As the darkness consumes me,
And the shadows whisper.
I call out to you,
But my screams of agony and desperation go unheard.

There is only the shadows.
And the darkness.
