The Dancer in the Flame - Part 2: Angel Again
Angel's point of view. This is sadder than the first installment.
I twisted and turned as the harrowing pain of the fire ate away at my consciousness. The chamber it had created controlled me, a pure cylinder of orange and red flames mixed with the blood I had shed since she was set free. It got worse and worse everyday, it was stronger than ever. It stopped.
The fire just washed away leaving me panting and gasping for breath, the pain still shooting through me in odd lightning bolts of horror. I saw her, my dearest Ridan, dancing just for me and forgiving me. A delicate black flower had set itself into her skin and added to her beauty, so now she needed no angel. This thought killed me, it burned what was left of my hideous warped body, from the inside out. I had no purpose, the fire had left me to watch her hurt herself and not be able to get to her, she had rejected the other angel.
"Come back for me, please! just burn me but do not leave me here to watch her in pain" I cried staring up at the blackened sky, "You coward fire you cannot leave me." I dropped to my knees, tears of anger and pain streaming down my face more freely than ever, what had I to hide apart from the heart of a broken, useless, forgotten angel.
"My dear, why do you have to hurt me so?" I whispered, my head in my hands.
