Thank for the three people who have commented and you are (sadly) the only ones who are keeping me going with it. I'm not gonna act like I'm suicidal or nothing, but it's very upsetting. The next day Callie woke up and she was encircled by arms. She smiled and snuggled into them for a second before remembering she didn't have a boyfriend. Her snapped open, stared into Max's and then she gave a small shriek and rolled right out of the bed. She landed on the floor heavily and swore. Then she just lay there, debating whether she should get up or just lay there till her very much welcomed death. She was saved the choice. Max leaned over the side of the bed, with a huge smirk on his face and lifted her off the floor and into his arms. She smacked at his arm but he didn't release his grip. He just stared into her eyes.

"You're very beautiful" he murmured and then he leaned forward and planted his lips softly on Callie's. Her eyes widened and she stared into his before responding. They kissed for a while longer and when he pulled back she pushed out of his arms and stared at him in shock.

"Oh my god! I totally just kissed a vampire. Am I nuts?! Am I stupid!? What am I doing?" she muttered to herself and then she glared at Max.

"What are you doing!?" she whispered/screamed. He shrugged and reached out to touch her face.
"I don't really know. I just felt the urge to kiss you" he murmured.
"Urgh! Will you stop will all the romance and touching me please?" she hissed.
"I can't help it! You're stories all involve me falling in love with you and there are a lot of passionate scenes" he told her. She groaned into her arms.
"Okay. I understand. Just...try to not kiss me" she pleaded with him, 'For the time being' she added silently. He shrugged as If to say 'I'll try' and then got up to look out the window.
Callie glanced at the clock and then jumped up, muttering oaths.

"What?" Max asked.
"I'm meant to be meeting Angelica in half-an-hour at the mall. She'll be pissed if I'm late" she said in a rush. She ran into the bathroom and had a quick five minute shower. Then she got dressed and did her hair and make-up. She rand downstairs, grabbed Gina's keys and then hopped into the car. Max was staring at her as she twisted the key into the ignitions violently.

Callie relaxed more as they got nearer to the tiny Oakfield Shopping Center.
"What about me?" Max whined, sounding like a kid.
"Oh. I...don't...actually know" Callie shrugged.
"That's alright. I'll pretend to be with someone else" he said cheerfully. Callie glanced at him and raised her eyebrows.
"Okay." She dragged the word out. He chuckled and then the car stopped. Callie parked and jumped out. Angelica was inside, sitting on a bench near the entrance. She tapped her clock as Callie rushed up to her and collapsed beside her.

"Two minutes late Callie" she teased and then gave her best friend a hug. They trawled the shops, not really looking. They were outside McDonald's when Callie saw Rhys and groaned. Then she groaned again because he looked like he was searching for someone, and then found them as his eyes locked on hers.

He came over to them and gave Ange a small smile and his special all-tooth grin to Callie.
"Hey babe" he said and picked up her hand. She ripped her hand out of his grasp. He stared at her and then laughed.
"Good one" he wrapped his arm round her waist and she slipped out of his embrace. He frowned at her.
"What are you doing?" he asked.
"We're not together anymore Rhys" she muttered. He nodded and stepped toward her.
"Yes we are babe" she dodged his arms and shook her head.
"No Rhys...we aren't". Rhys stood still and stared at her, and then his face was smooth and he was smiling. Callie watched suspiciously as he slunk into McDonalds and said something to a guy she couldn't really see. Her mouth dried up as she saw what he had in his hands as he came back out. He grinned at her and sat down on the nearest bench to her.

Callie was frozen to the spot. Everyone was glancing from the two girls to the guy with the guitar. Angelica was watching, horrified as Rhys put the Guitar strap across his shoulders and positioned the guitar against his chest. His hair flopped into his hair as he looked down at it and then back up at Callie.

"This is for you babe!" he shouted and then he started strumming.
