The Chance Not Taken

I wrote this as an assignment for my English class. I'm working or a Healer's Tale but its kind of slow going. I know where I want to go I just don't know exactly how to get there. It's like the car which is my brain has run out of gas and has to walk to the gas station a mile up the road. I'll work as fast as I can but here's something to tide you over if you want something to read. sorry~lucille (ren).

Absently doodling on her notebook,
Black hearts surround her name plus his
He's the center of her thoughts, she daydreams of being with him
Every time she looks at him she gets chills, reality fades
As she thinks of what her life could be
She'd never guess he likes her too, Too shy to take a chance
He watches her in silence as her ink pen flows smoothly.
He's consumed with jealousy
For the boy who will win her heart,
Not knowing he already has first claim
He longs for her to love him as much as he her
Maybe he'll take a risk? ask her out?
No, he could never jeopardize their friendship
If only he knew how she felt.
But they're practiced at keeping their feelings hidden
Not questioning if there could be more, content
Each's world silently revolves around the other
When the bell rings, she leaves for home hurrying,
Not taking care to watch where she's going
Unnoticed is the car that takes her life, victim of tragedy
He steps outside just in time to watch
The angel of his dreams, keeper of his heart,
Breathe her last breath
Xavier's heart shatters, it's forever too late.
He yearns to be with her as days go by,
But time can't heal his wounds.
Zerosome has his life become,
So he chooses to end it.
