The Carnival - Chapter 6

...And never fall for someone at the wrong time...****the picture of the chain...
My eyes were wet and blood shot. Jack and I were back in the carnival and I looked around the people and they were still enjoying the carnival. The Ferris wheel was filled with people and billions of them were busy eating and playing games. I bit my lower lip and saw jack heading towards one of the small canopy at the hidden corner of the carnival.
"So is there any way we can destroy the voodoo dolls" I asked, hoping for a good answer.
"There is...but it is difficult." Jack said his eyes scrutinizing the view.
"C'mon! Tell me! May be I can help you" I said, suddenly sounding desperate.
Jack turned around until he was facing me, his eyes pierced through mine as a sad smile stretched on his face.

"I wish we both had more time. I really like you and..." jack exclaimed warmly and then he slid off a silver chain from his neck. "...this is for you. I know I am behaving a bit corny but this is what I always wanted to give to someone I fell for the first time I saw them".
I smiled as tears shone in my eyes. This was the first time anyone ever complimented me like this. He stepped closer his arms stretched out in front and then went around my neck to place the silver chain. I felt his chest touching my breast lightly and then I felt the warm air between us which lapsed as he hugged me passionately. His arms squeezed me hard as if I was his most prized possession. After a long romantic hug, he finally let me go to which I was reluctant then finally I stepped back until my eyes saw the pain in his.
"This chain was of my mum's. I wish she was alive. She died because of breast cancer when I was eight." Jack said, smiling to his fond memories. After our hug I felt more passionate about him and I was sure of one thing: I will not let him and Haley die.
"I am sorry and thanks for considering me worthy of your most beloved thing" I whispered fingering the delicate silver chain lightly.

"So what does your parents do?" Jack asked looking at my direction and his question brought bad memories in my mind.
"My dad used to drink a lot and at times he used to beat my mother. He passed away last year but to be honest his death was a relief to our family. My mother is a gynecologist." I replied in a usual sort of way and then asked again "So how can we destroy voodoo dolls?"
Jack looked at me who was staring at the ground previously and then said "Are you ever gonna give up?" I shook my head innocently.

"Well you have to kill the person who made those voodoo dolls. And in my case that is magician tutu." Jack replied uncomfortably.
I suddenly felt like there is no way out. I know I cannot murder a guy, even for the sake of someone's life but i was not sure about this case I thought silently and then hugged myself because now I know the answer. I was going to commit something I will remember my whole life. My thoughts were interrupted as we approached the magician tutu who stood near the small canopy. "Welcome my friends. Sasha your sister is waiting inside..." magician tutu creepy voice filled my head and I also saw Adriana standing at the entrance of the canopy, her hands crossed over her chest. Her eyes shining in the moon light like fire.
