The Call
This is about a Soldier who didn't think he could keep living life. Then he got a call.
I can't go on. He bit his fist as tears ran down his pale cheeks. He reached for the gun in the glove compartment and was about to pull the trigger when his cell phone rang and he answered.
"Hey man' where have you been? We're heading down to the lake this weekend, you'd better not miss it, because buddy, I swear it won't be the same when you ain't there, and I told that girl that you liked her so much, you were coming along and her eyes lit up, I'd better let you go, I really hope I didn't catch you in the middle of anything."
He smiled and said "You kind of did but I don't mind at all, I'm glad you called."
He laughed and got out of the car and ran to the edge of the cliff throwing the gun into the deep lake. He put his face to the sky and yelled "THANK YOU LORD!" He ran back to his car and drove away down the old dirt road.
