So here's part 2:
Present day
At lunch I went out on to the quad. A light drizzle was falling. I stepped outside enjoying the sounds. Loving the smell of the falling rain. Finally feeling at peace. I wanted to run out into the lovely weather. Yet it was starting to pour. Instead I just watched the birds enjoying their spring shower. "Piper." I jumped at the sound of my name. Why was everyone sneaking up on me? I turned surprised to see Aidan.

"Don't do that." I said leaning against the brick wall. "I didn't mean to scare you." "It's ok." I said nervous. He wouldn't look into my eyes. I wondered why. " So what's up?" " I-.... nothing. I just noticed you when I was walking by." That's when I noticed his air was all wet.

"So you're headed to lunch?" He nodded not really looking at me. He only sent a few glances. I decided to leave him alone. We both stood silent. It wasn't awkward I found it very peaceful. Yet I started to shake from the cold air finally getting to me. "Do you want to head back in?" I didn't realize he was watching me. Not really knowing what to say I nod.

Aidan's POV
I was very surprised to see her outside all alone. Piper seemed like the type of girl to be surrounded by people. Me not so much maybe that's why I kept my distance. Seeing her out here was ...a little too comforting. When I walked up it didn't help that I scared her.

I wanted to tell her she was familiar too. Yet I was a coward. Unlike Ethan. Who's been talking about her all weekend. We would have never met had I not tripped her. Not saying I did it on purpose. I glanced at her as she shook. Guessing she was cold.

"Do you want to head back in?" She nodded making me worry. I was thinking of giving her my coat. Was she mad at me for breaking the silent? (That I started.) When we got to the door she smiled. Making me feel like an idiot. "Thanks for hanging out with me." She said rocking back and forth on her toes. She made me so nervous.

"You are welcome anytime." She still continued to rock when Aidan walked up. "There you two are. I was looking for you." Ethan said walking closer to Piper. He gave her one of his famous grins. It always seemed to be my downfall. I started to go through the list. Jamie, Rachel, Ashley, Cassie, Sandra, and many more.

Some were girlfriends of mine till they met him. I hated him for that. I turned my attention back to Piper. She was laughing at something Ethan had said. It was weird how much I hated to see them together. It made me sick with envy, and I wanted to rip him limb from limb. For looking at her that way.

"But I was looking for you since our family is having a dinner party. Did Aidan tell you about it yet?" she shook her head no. I had completely forgot. Now she might think I do want her to go. "Well it would be great if you come. It's Friday" "Sure sounds like fun."
