Chapter 2
A few weeks went by and I made sure that I did everything exactly like Alex wanted it, but he still treated me very sternly.
I was busy working when I heard Alex coming out of his office.
"Why are you still here?"
"Working…"
"Yes I can see that, but its seven o’clock; you should’ve gone home over three hours ago"
"Oh, I just wanted to finish up here"
"I think it’s better if you go home now, it’s getting dark, and you can finish this tomorrow"
"I’d rather finish up here then I have more time on Monday for that documents you gave me"
"No I think it’s better if you just go home now, besides I only need the documents done on Wednesday"
"Okay, then I’ll see you on Monday, sir"
We walked out together and once we were outside I started walking in the direction of my apartment. "Are you walking?" he asked
"Yes my apartment is only two blocks away"
"Let me take you there"
"Oh its okay, it’s very close"
"I insist, it’ll be dangerous, come on, get in the car"
I followed him to the car and got in; I gave him my address as he started to drive.
There was an awkward silence until he started talking.
"Why do you walk to work, why don’t you just take a taxi?
"I do have a car; I just walk because I think it’s useless to drive if my work is so close, it’s a waste"
"Oh"
Soon we arrived at my place and I got out.
"Thanks" He only nodded and drove off…How friendly…
That night I went out with Ally and some other friends. We were sitting around the table and talking when I heard someone calling me. "Kylie!"
I turned around to see Lisa and I introduced her to Ally. She joined us and while we were chatting a blond girl walked into the club. "That’s Alex’s new girlfriend" Lisa said
"How did he get such a beautiful girlfriend? He’s so rude and demanding, I can’t see how anyone would be able to live with him"
"She’s with him because he’s rich and it won’t last long anyway, He has a new girlfriend every week"
"Really?"
"Jip, he only uses them to satisfy himself and then dumps them. He was engaged once, but he realized that his fiance was only using him for his money and from there on he never trusted woman. Now he only focuses on his business and nothing else matters"
"No wonder …"
