"She will need a lot of rest Mr Holloway, but she just has a concussion so when she wakes up she should be able to go home" Moving into a new house was hard, Daniel hadn’t even unpacked all of his boxes!

The girl mumbled something but quickly fell back into the deep sleep. "Ugh this is going to be a really long night" he lay back and thought about how really bad his day had been. The company that were supposed to collect all of the furniture from his house didn’t turn up, so right at the last minute he had to call a new company which meant he wouldn’t be in the house until late at night. And then the first thing he did when he got in the house was to open the back door, of course it wasn’t the biggest mistake because he had met this girl, who incidentally was really pretty. But she lived on the streets.

"Hm" he said out loud, "why is such a good looking woman on the streets" he turned around and looked at her clothes, they weren’t cheap rubbish they looked new. This girl he had just met was a complete mystery; he didn’t even know her name.

The girl moaned and her eyelids flickered but then she went quiet again. He started to run through the reasons in his head. Maybe she robbed a shop and got these clothes? That would explain a lot, but he doubted it, she looked sweet and innocent. Or maybe she had run away from home, this made more sense. Daniel had done that when he was younger as well but he was 21 now, and after living with a friend and then getting a job he had finally managed to buy his own house. The years on the streets were hard; there were points where Daniel had almost died from hypothermia, this girl must be finding it hard to.

After a lot of thinking and adjusting the way he was sat Daniels eyelids closed and he finally drifted off to sleep.

"Um excuse me" Ellie said in a calm voice. "Hey wake up" she tapped his shoulder. He shuffled in the seat his eyes opened.

"Oh your awake!" he said pointing out the obvious, she rolled her eyes. "I thought I should tell you that the doctor said I’m free to go, they need the room though so you probably shouldn’t stay." She shot him a grin and then sat down on the hospital bed. He smiled back, his smile was gorgeous, she couldn’t help but stare.

"Yeh" he said breaking the awkward silence. "We should go" first he walked over to her chart and had a look through what the doctor had said. He sighed, and started towards the door. She stood up but her head injury had made her quite dizzy and as she followed him she decided she must look drunk. He stopped and looked at her and then as she walked past he put his hand around her waist. His touch was soft but she knew that if she were to fall he would catch her, and with that they stumbled to his car.

As they sat there on the journey they glanced at each other but then quickly turned away when they saw each other looking. "I didn’t get your name" Ellie said staring at her lap and fiddling with her phone. He turned around and gave her another enormous smile "Daniel, but you can call me Dan" he turned back to concentrate on driving "and what might I call you?" she responded very quickly "I’m Ellie" then she blushed and turned back to stare at her lap again. He giggled, she was shy.

After another long silence he said "Why are you on the streets?" she continued to look at her lap but her face changed to a worried look. "My mum didn’t want me living with her any more, I thought she would be better without me" he had concern written across his face as he tried to pull out more information "How long have you been on my back door step for?" she turned to him, and smiled "Only about 4 or 5 days but I am trying to get a place to live in" he had a thoughtful look on his face, it seemed that no matter what face he pulled he looked amazing.

"You could stay with me until you get a place to stay" she was shocked, he barely knew her and this was the second time today someone had asked her to move in with them. "Plus your chart said you should stay in for a few days and rest, and you can’t really do that outside a door" Ellie thought hard about it "No I don’t think I should, it doesn’t seem right the idea of moving out of mums house was to stop living off other people" she shook her head and they went the rest of the journey without talking.
