Ingredients
Remember that the key to making the most delicious brownies is using fresh and good quality ingredients. Pick up good quality chocolate and flour. If possible use fresh vanilla sticks for the flavoring. Use salt only if you are using unsalted butter in this recipe. Make sure you roast the walnuts to the right degree so that they acquire the desired crunchiness but don’t blacken them by over-roasting. Before you start mixing the ingredients, do not forget to preheat the oven. Also keep the baking dish ready by greasing it with butter. Here are all the ingredients that you will need for this recipe:
- Multipurpose flour – 2 cups
- Dark chocolate – 8 ounces
- Soft Butter - 1 cup
- Eggs – 5
- Sugar – 2½ cups
- Vanilla Extract - 1 tablespoon
- Milk – 1 tablespoon
- Pinch of salt
- Roasted and chopped walnuts – 2½ cups
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a 9 x 13 pan.
First of all start with the most vital ingredient of the recipe – yes the chocolate. Melt the chocolate bars and the butter in a pan over low flame. Make sure you do not overheat the chocolate since that can lead to blackened chocolate lumps and can ruin the flavor of the chocolate. Melt it until the chocolate and the butter melt together to form a satiny thick liquid. Now use the blender to mix the eggs, sugar and vanilla. Blend it until all the ingredients are mixed thoroughly. Now add the chocolate, milk and sifted flour to the egg-vanilla-sugar mixture. Stir the mixture well so that all the ingredients are mixed thoroughly. Add the chopped nuts and stir again. Now pour the mixture in the greased pan. Add more walnut chunks on top to make them visible on the brownies. Bake for around forty minutes. Serve with or without icing/ice-cream/whipped cream according to your preference.
