The Atheist
There has never been a God in my life, nor have I felt I needed one. Many people look at me like a monster when they hear the word Atheist, but I am not sure why. More people have died in the name of religion than anything else on this planet.
There is no god in my life but I don't need he,
I have angels to keep me company
Their hugs and kissed are all I require
They make up my world, everything I desire
If there were a god, this place could not exist,
With all the thieves, murderers, and rapist
If he is up there, I will not be punished for my views
Isn't this why he gave free thinking to me and you?
How many wars were fought in the name of religion
How many holy men have victimized children
This is a fraternity for which I choose not to belong
I will not judge you if you feel that I am wrong
I do, however, find it to be quite ironic and true
A non believer is more Christian than you,
I accept everyone and treat all as the same
Nobody is wrong or going to hell, it's no game
Who has the better religion than the other
Just because it's in a book don't make it so brother
There are lots of things in books but that don't make them right
I have never seen a cow jump over the moon at night
And who are you to judge another man's place of worship
Only decide for yourself, because you could be on the wrong trip
At the pearly gates you could learn the Muslims were right all along
Or you could find what I believe, there is no right or wrong
If it takes a church to make you better person, by all means go
But I feel I have strong enough character by myself to already know
The difference between the wrongs and the rights
I battle the real evils and am fighting the good fight
To a person on the outside, the church is filled with perversion and greed
How many hungry children could the cost of that building feed
If your building isn't expensive enough, will your god not save your pack
How many children can your pastor feed if he wasn't driving a Cadillac?
How many more innocent people need to die for your jihad?
How many people are not allowed medicine because of your god
Across the board, I lump all religions together as one
It's all just a competition and a waste of time for me and my young
