The Anointed One - Chapter 1
Mark thinks about the pasy of the trio and the bond of friendship they developed over time...but while he remembers his beautiful past, he also worries about the change that was coming soon...will he, Zac and Angel be dragged into a dark and bleak future?
"Zac wake up! Come on dude you will be late again! You know how angry Dumpkin was the last time you were late for the recording."
Mark was trying his best to wake Zac up but he was just so stubborn. He wondered how Angel could handle him. Well she will be back today thought Mark and I would finally take a sigh of relief.
"Zac! Get Up! Angel is back," as he said he wished silently Zac wouldn't kill him for this lie. But at least it got him up. Zac got up with a quick movement and looked around the room. "Where is Angel?" he turned to me and asked suspiciously.
"Did I say Angel?" I asked innocently "I meant Miss Dumpkin would be angry." Ok that was lame and the look on Zacs face said it too. But well it was worth a try. He finally got up groaning, shot me a death glare and went to the bathroom to take a shower. Well I was saved, at least for now.
Now that I was alone in the room, I thought about how my life had changed after I met Zac Marshal. He was the most famous kid, the quarter-back of football team, Drop dead gorgeous (no it's not me...that is what the girls say) with short brown hair, mesmerizing hazel eyes, creamy complexion, muscles that were just perfect and a killer attitude. His father was a rich business man. In short he was a combination of fame, money and looks. Everyone loved him and he knew that well.
Angel, with her loose brown curls and chocolate hair that fell to her waist, was a different person altogether. She was the smartest kid of West Side High and probably the best person you would ever meet. How they got along so well was something I wonder even today.
Who was I then? Well I was the new kid and was treated like one too. A total outcast. There was nothing I wouldn't do to get away from the abominable place they called West High School. That was before the day I couldn't keep the anger inside me so I took out my frustration on the football after school. Did I mention I could play football and play it well? Anyway Zac saw me and the next thing I know I was on the team. That's how we became friends. He was friends with Angel since they were in diapers so that's how I met Angel and our Trio was formed.
Now after five years we are still together. Angel is in a medical university on scholarship (no duh!), Zac is a famous musician with the highest selling album and I am not only his best friend but also his manager.
This is how our life connected. We promised to stay by each other forever so when we grow old and our memories start to fade away, we would be there for each other to remind what our friendship meant. But lately I have been having the feeling that something was coming up. Something strong and unpredictable that might change our lives forever. Angel had the same feeling. I could tell. She would never voice that though... But whether we liked it or not, the change was coming and it was coming fast.
