The Agent That I Am: Part VII. 1

Here is the next part. Enjoy.
Kelli and I were gazing through a dirty window that overlooked the warehouse's massive room. From what I could tell, nobody had been in here for a while. There were wooden crates stacked here and there, dust gathered on the large, medal table in the middle of the room, cobwebs hung in all corners.
"I can't see why headquarters sent us here if there's nothing going on." Kelli whispered next to me.
"Well, maybe we should just tell Paul it was a false alarm and call it a night."
"Good idea. I'm starting to get a chill."
Just as we were about to climb down from our perch, someone opened the warehouse door.
"In here!" The authoritative male voice said.
"Quick, get down." I hissed, ducking my head down under the window.
Noises could be heard. Shuffling, then a loud bang.
"Careful with that you idiot!" The same voice snapped. "Do you want to be the one to tell the boss his equipment was damaged because you were being careless?"

I heard a grumble.
"What was that?"
"No sir."
"That's what I thought."
Wait a sec. I know that voice.
"Hurry up! Get the rest of the supplies in here. I don't want to alert all of London."
The person was American.
Oh no.
Silently, I peeked over the window's ledge.
And there, in all his glory, was Blade. He was standing in the middle of the room, observing his minions as they carried and stacked more wooden crates around him.
"NG." I whispered.
"What's NG?" Kelli asked looking over the edge with me.
"Not good."

"What? You know him?"
"Know him? I have a date with the jerk tomorrow!" I silently yelled.
"Look. Let's just get out of here, report to Paul, and you can tell me the whole story later."
I sighed, "Good idea."
We quickly climbed down from our hiding place and made our way back towards my house.

There, we went separate ways, Kelli promised to keep in touch.
I climbed up a rope to my bedroom window, making sure not to make any noise that might alert my parental units.
I checked my digital clock, it read past bewitching hour.
Time for bed. I thought, before collapsing on my fluffy comforter. Not even bothering to change my clothes. Good thing it's Saturday. I can sleep...late. And then it was off to dreamland.

"Jewel!" Millie called through my closed door. "Jewel! Get up! You have a big day!"
I cracked open an eyelid, and squinted at the light pouring into my room. Mumbling something, I turned over and tried to reach that ever distant dreamscape. Hoping to catch it and return to peace.
"BANG!"
I bolted out of bed so fast, I tripped and fell on my face. Again with the face plant.
"Jewel?! Are you in there?! Can you hear me?!"
I pushed myself up on my elbows, "I'm up! I'm up!"
"Good. Just making sure your alive. Goodness girl, you could sleep though a hurricane."
"I wish." I muttered under my breath, as her footsteps faded away.
Getting to my feet, I rubbed my tired eyes and glanced at my clock with blurry vision.
7:45

"Why Millie? Why do you hate me?" I asked the air, which didn't respond. Figures.
Having no choice, I took a shower before putting on my bathing suit. I grabbed a towel, sunscreen and my Ipod before heading downstairs.
"Hey Honey," Millie greeted while briefly looking up from the griddle. "Why are you in your swimsuit?"
"I'm going to sunbath while the weathers nice."
Millie surveyed my two peace bikini, "I never liked that suit." She stated, turning back to the pancakes on the hot plate.
My suit was skimpy, I'll admit, but I never wore it in public, only when I wanted to soak up sun. I got the best tan with this bathing suit, plus I hated those fake, spray-on tans. Ug.
I explained this to Millie, as I had done numerous times.
She sighed in annoyance, but agreed since no one could see me, that it was okay,...for now.

"Let me make you a plate." She said putting bacon on a paper towel.
"No, I'm not hungry."
"Are you sure? You'll be touring England with Blade today and you don't want to be low on energy."
"And now I have no apatite what-so-ever." I said, as the urge to throw up over took me. Remembering that I had to endure another day in Blade's company made me sick.
"Will you stop complaining." Millie put her hands on her hips. "I want you on your best behavior today, is that clear?"
"Fine." I sighed in defeat.
I left the kitchen and entered the backyard, while thinking about all the ways I could murder he-who-shall-not-be-named.
