The 100 Day Challenge/Transforming the Media
This article covers the unique 100 day challenge Youtube show. I also give info about the founders of this show and the inspirational host for this show Lilou Mace.
Sites such as buzzle.com and other web sites such as youtube are a great platform for people to share knowledge, wisdom, guidance and empowerment with. Modern technology has allowed us to share this powerful knowledge with many people and to do so in a timely and efficient fashion also.
Last year, I came across a very interesting channel on the Youtube site. This was the 100 day challenge channel. The show was hosted by a vivacious and energetic lady called Lilou Mace. Lilou's passion and enthusiasm for her work were clearly visible. Lilou Mace is a woman with a mission. Her goal is to host a nationally syndicated TV show which empowers viewers with it's focus on self-development and related areas.
After viewing Lilou's youtube shows, I see no reason why she should not realize her goal. Lilou's energy is contagious, inspiring and motivating. One feels positively pumped after viewing her videos. I had shown Lilou's videos to a few associates of mine. The general consensus was: Lilou had passion for what she did, she was charismatic, had high levels of energy, captivating. These are just a few of the things that were said about Lilou after people had viewed her videos. Lilou's youtube videos have been viewed 1.5 million times. This is very impressive to say the least. I foresee a major tv network being very interested in these statistics.
I see a growing need for a show such as the one which Lilou envisions. There are way too many TV shows that focus on sleaze, violence, hate, bad morals etc. What kind of messages do we keep sending young people through bad TV shows? Lilou is a breath of fresh air for the media. I have not seen such a show on national TV. A show such as this could help many people.
The unique and creative idea for the 100 day challenge and co creating our reality was concieved in 2005. Laura Duksta and Sandy Grason had discovered this idea while they were focusing on 'enlightened wealth'.(From here on, when I refer to 'they' or 'the team'; I will be referring to the original CCOR team.) Laura and Sandy began researching the current reality shows on TV and then they spotted an opportunity for creating a positive and empowering reality TV show.
They saw that there were no shows on tv such as the one which they had envisioned. Laura and Sandy are both best selling authors. They pondered the idea of a show which would follow the progress of a select group of individuals who would practice universal laws and principles, plus methods such as meditation, journaling, visualization, reading and other powerful techniques.
Laura and Sandy were searching for a partner to join them in their idea. Their search resulted in finding Lilou Mace, an ardent internet entrepreneur who specializes in online brand strategies and has a strong interest in the self-help industry. Lilou was an ideal match for their partnership. The chemistry between these three ladies was undeniable and evident for all to see.
They then decided to put a name to this project. The name which was chosen was a powerful one, this name fully described their idea: 'Co Creating Our Reality' CCOR. CCOR applied to not only their group - they also collectively believed in the power of the magical energy which is made when two or more people join forces for the greater good; it also applied to the people who would join the CCOR challenge also. The positive and creative energies from the original group would be shared with all of the new members as well. CCOR works with three elements: The power of the three members working together, universal laws and principles, divine energy of the universe. The main focus for CCOR is that we are always co creating our lives and our experiences: that we all have the capacity to co-create our own realities.
The CCOR team did not know how the experiment would turn out, so they decided to try it themselves for 100 days. They had read many, many books, learned amazing concepts from extraordinary teachers, attended countless seminars, they then reflected upon what progress they could make in their lives if they had put into practice all that they had learned from the aforementioned sources for 100 days.
Laura and Sandy had written books of their own, Lilou had founded a few companies including an empowering portal online. However, even though these ladies had attained successes, they always found some inconsistency in the results they had obtained. Through analysis, they discovered that the results were in proportion to their involvement into life, and how often they would applying those teachings and practices. This is the thing with life, life happens, you start, you stop, you get sidetracked, taken off course.
The team began recording their daily video journals with their webcams from home and uploaded them onto Lilou's empowerment web site. The results for these videos were clearly seen. The three ladies made a decision to grow the concept and look for new ways to make it easier for people around the world to participate in this exciting 100 day challenge from the comfort of their home - technology enabled this to happen. The team chose youtube as the vehicle to broadcast these videos. This was an intuitively wise move. As you know, Google bought into Youtube: The number of viewers and participants had greatly increased as a result of the Google action.
As a result of the success of the movie The Secret and it's representation on Oprah, the CCOR youtube community received a flood of participants worldwide.
Soon they were receiving videos from Asia, Australia, Ireland, Canada, South America, U.K. and all across the U.S. The community members were so exuberant about finding a spotlight where they could put the tools they had learned from the Secret into practice. The 100 day challenge has since it's inception, provided the perfect platform thousands of people, as well as a global community of like minded people who support you in living your biggest vision. The great thing about shows such as 100 day challenge is: These shows inspire others to start similar shows. I have seen several similar shows being aired on youtube since the 100 day challenge show.
