That Empty Promise
I am not a person of empty promises. They are on the same base as lying. So, poetically, this is how I feel about empty promises
Empty promises don't work with a full heart
False hope doesn't link with true love
Giving someone just the glass does not help when all they require is water
By doing so it is a punch to the soul and births a void
A void like a fresh wound exposed to the harsh realities of possibilities of infection where ever it goes
It sensitivifies all senses
Touch becomes unbearable to feel
Sight becomes no longer having crystal vision
Smell churns the guts
Hearing is so piercing it deafens
And speaking... so much to say but so hard to express
A simple empty promise is an insult to a beings ability to hope
Ability to wish and dream
Ability to hold on to something that makes you whole
You are the one small piece to her puzzle for her to be complete
Keeping yourself hidden in the box leaves the puzzle puzzled by the fact that it cannot be satisfied till it becomes one
Yes a trickle down her baby-skin face because all she wanted was you
Due to the circumstance of habitance all she wanted was to verbalize with you
That is all you have and can share
Just this one moment could make life feel free, feel deep, feel fulfilled
And an empty promise is trapping, torture, to never happen
