- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 large carrots, chopped

- 5 whole cloves
- 6 teaspoon chicken base
- ½ cup whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons honey

- 2 cups vegetable stock

- 2 tablespoons walnut, lightly toasted and finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon finely shredded fresh sage leaves
