With the invitations sent, menu set, and the decorations in place, giving away some thanksgiving favors will just be the icing on the cake at your thanksgiving party, and will be a wonderful memory of the great time they had with you.

While favors for thanksgiving can be store bought, there are several that you can make on your own. Those of you who enjoy making various thanksgiving arts and crafts, can use your creations as favors this thanksgiving. Even if you don't, here are some ideas to inspire you.

Cocktail Napkins
Not only great thanksgiving table favors, these customized cocktail napkins make for great table decorations. All you need is a maple leaf, pumpkin, or turkey feather rubber stamp, that has been placed on each of the napkins. Personalize the napkins further by adding any of the many thanksgiving quotes or poems, that are also available in the form of rubber stamps. Make the entire process colorful, and have the kids engage in this simple yet enjoyable activity.

Edible Favors
What is thanksgiving without some edible thanksgiving party favors? Make a batch of your best cookies, and make customized gift boxes to put your cookies in. Again, the rubber stamps could be of great use here, as you stamp the inside of each lid. Further, use the traditional thanksgiving colors such as brown and orange to decorate the gift boxes. With a beautiful ribbon, and a personalized message tag, you have these party favors ready to hand out. Apart from cookies, you can also make small treat bags with sugar coated, roasted pecan nuts. To make these, simply melt some butter in a skillet and add in a handful of pecan nuts. Add in some brown sugar syrup, and stir to ensure that all nuts are coated with the syrup. Roast until lightly brown. Line a cookie sheet with some cookie parchment paper, and put the pecans on it. In an oven preheated to 350 degrees F, place the pecans until they turn golden brown. Allow them to cool, and place them in see-through treat bags that you can decorate with ribbon and place in your gift boxes.

Thanksgiving Cornucopia
A thanksgiving cornucopia not only makes another great edible favor, but is another great thanksgiving table decorating idea. Simply use fresh waffle cones and add in lots of candy and nuts into each cone. Wrap each cone individually with some cellophane paper, and tie a ribbon with a personalized thanksgiving message, or one of the many quotes on thanksgiving on it. Lay out each cornucopia in a beautiful tray, to make for a great table decoration as well as a favor on the go.

Soaps and Scented Candles
The scent of thanksgiving is in the air, and you will find thanksgiving scented candles (vanilla, apple cider, and cinnamon) everywhere. Wrap these up in the aforementioned gift boxes, and to make some gorgeous thanksgiving favors. Apart from candles, you can give out soaps in these scents. In fact, with thanksgiving around, candles and soaps are available in the shapes of maple and oak leaves, that make it the perfect favor to give out at your thanksgiving party. The scented candles (in various shapes) decorated in a tray full of fall leaves also make for great thanksgiving centerpieces.

Thanksgiving Bookmarks
What better a memory to remember thanksgiving by, than a great bookmark. A perfect favor for the avid reader, this you can make easily on your own. Simply cut out turkey feathers or fall leaves from some craft paper, decorate it appropriately, and add in a message or a saying about thanksgiving on it. Apart from craft paper, you may also use a metallic sheet and cut out these shapes. In fact, the use of metallic sheets will also help you design the bookmarks more intricately. Add in a ribbon to complete the look of this bookmark, and you are good to go!

Coasters
Engage in some great crafts to make wonderful coasters as favors. Again, coasters can be designed yourself to make some charming favors. Take circular pieces of glass, and make some thanksgiving decorations on them. These include the aforementioned leaves, pumpkins, or turkey feathers. Use these as coasters. Else, you can take some clay, and shape each coaster the way you like. Allow these to dry, and use them as fancy table decorations and favors to remember you by.
