Chocolate Pecan Tart
This is one chocolate pecan tart which your family is never going to forget and they are going to ask for not second but probably third or fourth helping as well. So, just to be on the safer side, make some more.
Things Required
For crust
- Pecan halves (4)
- Cinnamon (grounded ⅛ teaspoon)
- Butter (unsalted 4 tablespoons)
- Golden brown sugar (packed ⅛ cup)
- Chocolate chips (semi sweet 24 ounces)
- Whipped cream (1 cup)
- Sugar (2 cups and more if needed)
- Whipped cream
- Butter (unsalted 1 cup)
- The first thing that you have to do is make the crust. For this, you have to mix or blend the pecan halves, the sugar and the cinnamon in a blender and also add the butter while blending. Blend till the whole thing mixes properly and there are no lumps in the mixture.
- Now, put this mixture in a 9 inch tart pan which has a removable bottom.
- Bake this for the next 20 minutes (temperature 325ºF), until the color of the crust turns golden brown. Once this is done, keep it aside and let it cool at room temperature.
- The next part is where you learn how to make the filling. Heat the whipped cream over a low flame till you see bubbles coming out from it. Then add the chips and keep stirring it, till the chips melts properly into the cream. Pour this mixture into the crust and put it in the refrigerator to cool.
- Now let's make the sauce. Melt the butter over a medium flame and add the sugar and keep heating till the color turns golden brown. Next add the cream and boil for about 10 to 15 minutes. Let it cool.
- Take out the tart pan and remove the sides and the bottom and put it one the platter, and serve with the sauce. I assure you your family is going to love it.
