Pumpkin Fingerprint Craft

Material Required
Paper
Scissors
Stapler
Finger paint - orange and green
Cotton balls or shredded newspaper
Short piece of string or wool

Method
Draw two freehand pumpkins on a plain sheet of paper. Paint this using finger paints, keep aside and allow it to dry. Then, cut out the pumpkin from the top and scoop out all the flesh from within. Then staple the finger painted paper all around the pumpkin, leaving only the top vacant. Stuff the pumpkins with shredded newspaper or cotton and then staple the pumpkin closed. Attach a short string if you want to hang the pumpkin.

Thanksgiving Wreath

Material Required
A plain white paper plate
Construction paper (orange, red, yellow, brown, and other earth tones)
Crayons or markers
Scissors
Glue or a glue stick

Method
Cut out a half circle from the center of the paper plate. Use construction paper to cut out leaves of different shapes. Then, glue the leaves neatly to the rim of the paper plate. Stick just as much as necessary and avoid cluttering the paper plate with leaves. You can ask all the children who come over to sign one leaf each on the wreath and write down what they are thankful for.

Thanksgiving Table Centerpiece

Material Required
Plastic shallow butter bowl
Glitter
Popcorn kernels
Dried baby peas
Dried navy beans
1 oz or a little less Elmer's glue
Gold taper candle

Method
In the butter bowl, mix all the beans, popcorn, glitter and peas together. Then add the Elmer's glue to this and mix. Let it stay for around 2 minutes and then push the candle into the center of the mixture. Let this stay for a day and then push the mixture from beneath the butter bowl so that it pops out. The centerpiece is ready.
