Thanks For Nothing

I wrote this when I was feeling depressed about my parents’ lack of love…
Put me in the ground,
Be sure there’s no one around,
Paying their last respects,
To a life they did their best to reject.

Let my Father see my broken body,
And remember that once he loved somebody,
Let my Mother see my vacant stare,
And remember that once she cared.
