Thank You
A poem that I wrote for a contest...
I was dying inside and the world seemed to be dark and gloomy.
I thought all was lost.
You came along and wrapped your arms around me.
Kissed my dark thoughts away.
All I have to say is thank you.
You were sad and wasting time thinking dark thoughts.
You thought things would be better if you were gone.
I came along and sent a smile your way and said a kind word.
You were able to smile again.
All you had to say was thank you.
We were all having a bad day.
Thinking things couldn't be worse.
You sat down beside us and talked with us.
All we had to say was thank you and pass it on.
