Texas Has Something for Everyone

Have the vacation of a lifetime in Texas, by knowing the Attractions to see - Best times to visit - Places to stay, and more.
If you are interested in doing something a little different than what you have done on your last vacations then you need to visit Texas. There are so many things you can accomplish here and you will really find a lot to do. One great place to go is Glen Rose, Texas. Here you will find the Fossil Rim Wildlife Center, which is absolutely amazing. It is located about an hour and a half from the Dallas/Fort Worth area so it is an easy day trip for many. There are 1800 acres of land that are the best place for you to take a safari if that is what you have always dreamed of doing. You will be able to see giraffes, rhinos, deer, and lots of other wildlife. You can even take your own car or truck on the tour that spans close to 10 miles. You will notice that the habitat is made up of savannahs, trees, and shrubs to create a natural home for these wild animals.

If you have not had enough of animals after a visit to Fossil Rim then you should check out the Dallas Zoo. It is open from 9 am until 5 pm every day during the summer months, but during the winter it is only open until 4 p.m. The zoo is closed on Christmas day, but that is practically it. Admission is $8.75 for adults, $5.75 for kids 3-11, and $5 for seniors over age 65, and free for kids two and under. If you don’t like walking too much you will appreciate the monorail that runs within the zoo. It costs $2.50 per person age three and above, kids two and under are free.

When you want to do something different and see a lot of wildlife, too, then you must make a visit to the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas so you can explore all the great places that are available to you.
