Terriers Dog Breeds List
The Fédération Cynologique Internationale based in Thuin, Belgium is a federation of kennel clubs from the whole world. Different terrier dog breeds are classified by this institution in four types; here is a list of these dogs breeds.
Bull-type Terriers
These are a combination of terriers and bulldogs. The Old English Bulldog and many different terrier varieties were used in the creation of this breed. The different Bull-type terriers are enlisted below. The list contains names of miniature terriers dog breeds as well as variety of other breeds.

Important Terriers Dog Breeds
The important types of terrier dog breeds are described in the following paragraphs.
Airedale Terriers: It is one of the large terriers dog breeds which has originated in the Airdale area of Yorkshire, England. Prior to the creation of Black Russian Terrier, the Airedale was biggest of all terriers dog breeds; it was therefore, also known as 'King of Terriers'. Earlier it was used to carry out hunting of otters. Today, the Airdale Terrier dog is used by police forces in England.
Boston Terrier: These terriers have a small and compact body frame; their body color could be brindle, black or seal with white markings. Boston Terrier as the name suggests, has originated in the US; these dogs are known to be intelligent and friendly in nature however, sometimes they can act stubbornly. It is considered to be one of the terriers dog breeds good with children.
Scottish Terrier: The Scottish Terrier, also known as 'Scottie' is one of the five terriers dog breeds (the others being Cairn, Sky, West Highland White Terrier and Dandie Dinmont) to have originated in Scotland. These dogs have an undercoat that is soft and dense; the overcoat of Scottish Terriers is however, wiry.
