Temptation

I feel the heat against my skin
but pull the iron away before the scars set in.

I am only as strong as my weakest time
and you are the one that brings me to that line.

The line I have tried so hard not to cross,
but God forbid that you not be my boss.

You say you love me, that none of it matters,
then you scream at me and all my hopes shatter.

Smile on the outside, and try to fit in.
but on the inside, I am feeling far less human.

So it comes to this, and now you have a choice,
you lose me forever, or I regain my voice.
