Temp Job Idea for Students

Since my mid teens I've been taking temporary jobs at stores every Summer to try and earn some money. But by my first semester as a college student, I was fed up of temporary jobs.

I wanted to earn money my own way - I wanted my own business! I know this sounds crazy - I was still a kid after all and did not have much capital or experience.

This is when I came across affiliate marketing on the internet. This is the idea of selling products online on behalf of some merchant, and earning commission for any products that you sell.

But there was one huge problem... I didn't know anything about internet marketing or website production! This is when I came across a great online resource which has taught me all I know and really simplified the learning process.

Here, I learned about free methods of marketing online (so I was taking ZERO RISK), how to pick the best products to market and which techniques work. I figured, even if I didn't make money, I was picking up a heck of a lot of useful information!

I now earn steady money online and what's more is, I am My own Boss! How cool is that?! I don't have to work fixed hours and can work as much or as little as I want! I really needed this flexibility when I got back to college after the Summer, and I could still earn money whilst studying!

Having built a strong foundation to my business in the Summer, I only needed to invest a couple of hours a day to make improvements, etc. This also meant that I was more productive with my time at college and cut out a lot of the pointless lazing around I found myself doing during first semester.

So this is the best temp job I've ever had! And all this, still as a college student! I really want to encourage more youngsters to do something similar. Most of you have got brains, why not use them! Or maybe you like mopping floors...

What's more is, this venture has really made me stand out of the crowd when it comes to full time job interviews. Interviewers seem to love the fact that I started my own business as a college student!
