Tell Me Final - Pt. 2
The perfect ending (in my opinion at least) :D
Hey guys.
It took a while but its finally here. you guys have been a great audience to. But a special thanx goes out to all my commenters for encouraging me every chapter of the way. :P you guys are the bomb. :) also to my four best friends for unconsciously and consciously helping with the story.
MY two best friends kyle and kyle
Kyle berry for being half-kyle in the story and providing attitude and personality to the story. If it weren't for you story-kyle would be a cardboard cutout instead of a human being. so thanx.
And to kyle michaelson for being the otherhalf-kyle in the story. If it weren't for you there would be absolutely NO awesome speech ending and I wouldn't know how it felt to love someone like Alexis, and I totally appreciate your input to alexis's and kyle's love life..even though sometimes it got personal lol :P so thanx.
I love you both and you're the bestest best friends a girl could have. You're pretty much 75% of the story so be grateful and accept all the appreciation graciously, because it comes from the heart (you know what I mean guys)
Also Jasmine my "sister" and my friend Mira my "white sister" who invented both Cassandra and "the perfect boyfriend" and gave him the name of kyle. You're awesome and I love you two to the max. You gave me the ideas and the occasional kick in the pants to get up and write already. I love you and you're the best!
All my readers should thank them too... if it weren't for them there probably wouldn't be a "perfect kyle" so thank them for being the perfect mixture in the recipe for "perfect kyle cake" lol
The perfect ending begins!!!

Brian
Cassandra and I waited at the steps for Kyle and Alexis. She smiled. I smiled back and said. "You ready?"
She nodded. "Yeah, I am."
Kyle
We walked up the steps to school and met Brian, Daniel, and Cassandra. They were our new group.
Lola and her boyfriend had ditched us when Brian and Alexis had gotten together.
Brian smiled at me and Cassandra winked at Alexis. I raised an eyebrow. "You guys look smug, why do you looks so smug?"
Brian grinned. "Because of this!" he took Cassandra in his arms and tilted her over tango-style. Then he kissed her right in her mouth. When he lifted her back up she hugged him, they were grinning from ear to ear. To be honest I never ever saw this coming.
"Awesome guys. When did this happen?" Alexis was ecstatic. She hugged Cassandra and Brian and they chorused. "Actually it was on Monday, but there was never a good time to tell you, so we decided. 'hey what about today?' you know?" Kass explained.
I nodded and she and Alexis squealed and jumped around and did all that girly stuff girls did to celebrate.
"We've got to go shopping!" Alexis giggled.
"To celebrate!" Kass finished. They laughed like they were hyenas. I looked at Brian and he rolled his eyes.
"Girls..." he said,
"Can't understand 'em, but you've gotta love 'em." I said. He nodded and we all walked inside when the bell rang.
We said our goodbyes and left to our homerooms. I walked off with a smile on my face.
I was severely aware of the three index cards in my back pocket. Today was going great, and for us it was just about to get better, at least that's what I thought.
I had no idea how right I was.
Alexis
First period was funnier than usual. A free day with a substitute was exactly what Cassandra and I needed. We talked about her and Brian all period.
"Does he kiss you all the time?" I asked.
She shook her head. "Not all the time, but I like it that way. If you know what I mean."
I nodded. Then she went ahead to tell me about how he took her out all the time and they just sat around and did nothing sometimes. Then she told me that she had been at his house after our movie night yesterday playing video games and eating take out. I smiled to myself at how perfect they seemed to me.
I replayed me and brain's fist kiss and felt a strange burning feeling my chest. It made me sick for a second, and then it was gone, it still hurt though. There was a sensation of not wanting to be there, wanting to be somewhere completely different... I realized that feeling was always there when I kissed Brian. But then I was too blind to see the pain of being with the wrong guy all this time.
I was so happy for Kass and Brian. They both used to date around. Pick up a date and then drop them. They'd both been dumped only once and had dumped many times. Now they were together. And they did everything together. It was wonderful.
The bell for second period rang, then third period. Lunch happened, fun as usual, then fourth and fifth happened. It all went by so fast. I couldn't remember it all because English class was the most memorable class of the day. I walked into English class as the last period of the day to find Kyle waiting for me there. I smiled at him and he smiled back. I sat next to him and he kissed me on the cheek. "Hey," he said.
"Hiya." I said back. We did some random thing in class that I don't remember; because what happened after was the most amazing thing I never could've dreamed of. Our teacher called up Kyle and told us all.
"Kyle is going to present an expressive essay today. You all have done this before, but this is his makeup for entering late. I expect you to give him the same respect you had when you were presenting." She warned.
"Yeah so everyone shut up!" I said playfully. They laughed. Mrs. Capita rolled her eyes and smiled. "Go ahead Kyle." She walked to her desk.
He stood at the front of the class in front of the board and cleared his throat. He looked right at me.
Mrs. Capita handed Kyle a microphone and he began to speak.
"There are all kinds of girls in the world." The boys in the class chuckled in agreement. "There are the girls who made you want to commit suicide, the impossibles. There are the girls who have such low self-esteem you have to pretty much do everything for them for them to even be able to love themselves, let alone you, the cry babies. There are the girls you like to use and abuse you. Scream and yell, and then reel you in with tears when you want to leave, the evils. Am I right?"
All the boys said "yeah."
I smiled. Of course, Kyle would to his speech on the types of girls in the world. I fought the urge to roll my eyes. He was so predictable.
Kyle
My first paragraph make her smirk, was this the way to go? Either way, this was going to happen. She was Alexis, she wouldn't be amused and blind to what I was saying...right? I decided to add something to it later. I continued regardless.
"And then there are those select few girls who know how to melt your heart, and unlike the evils, they know how to keep it that way, not by crying. But by being good. They are just naturally lovable. The ideal vision of the word girl, sensitive but strong. Helpful but, they don't force themselves on you. They don't exactly wait for you to ask for everything. But they do give you your space. They make great best friends, and they make even greater girlfriends. They're sweet. They're funny in a not-so-funny way. They're not afraid to be who they are, and they just are sometimes everything you could ask for in a girl, and then all that stuff that you're too afraid to ask for but want secretly anyway."
I switched to my next index card.
Alexis
I was impressed. He did a really good job of describing the "perfect" girl. There was no such thing of course. But oh well. A guy can hope right? I laughed a little at my thought.
Kyle
I saw her giggle a little. Maybe she knew where I was going...well here goes nothing.
"Yeah, we all want girls like that. The light of our lives. Everything we want and more. Everything we need and more. We want them to be perfect... well guess what guys! They are no such girls. To be honest everyone has one flaw or pet peeve that we just can't stand. Some of us let our girls go because of that thing, but then we realize how great they are and cry. But those aren't all the girls in the world."
I paused for a dramatic effect and spoke quietly. The only sound in the room was my voice and the air conditioner.
"There is that even smaller category. They are the "as good as you can get" girls. They do the best they can to be your best friend, and then work even harder to be the perfect girlfriend. But you both know you can't do that. They can't be your dream girl. But they get so close that sometimes, after a while, that's what they are. Your dream girl the best thing you never knew you needed. Only a few of us guys get that at this age. A lot of us have to wait years or trial and error until that special girl comes forward to change you and your whole world. But some of us get lucky. Some of us get that girl early..."
Alexis
He was looking right at me. As he stared to my he saw right thorough my barriers into my soul and I knew who he was talking about.
"Some of us already have that girl." He took a deep breath. There was no sound.
"That girl. The one that turns you whole world into a mess, but of course will clean it up for you. She will pick up the pieces, but the thing is. It's not the same puzzle. For one thing. She's in it, and there's something about her that makes you want to keep it that way for the rest of your life."
I smiled at him. He smiled back, his eyes sparkling.
"I know I sound like I'm about to go get married or something. But that's sometimes how it feels. It's like there's this huge thing in your throat before you met her ant you didn't even know it. And when she gets there it's gone, and you never knew you could feel better. That's how it feels. So the "as good as you can get" girls are the perfect girls. You just don't know it yet."
Kyle
At this I didn't look at Alexis, I looked at the class.
"I know it."
I looked at Alexis again. Her eyes were glistening...wow...
"Alexis. You're the "as good as you can get" girl. For me, there are a few things about you that get on my last nerve. And you know what else? I love that about you. I'm not going to make a list of all your virtues because that's not only cheese but inappropriate." I glanced at Mrs. Capita she was pretending to dab her eyes. I smirked.
"But I do know one thing I have to tell you before I chicken out..." I took in a gust of air and let it out.
"I love you." I put down the microphone on Mrs. Capita's desk and the class clapped. Loud. I didn't bow though. I walked up to Alexis' desk and pulled her up. She squealed a little in surprise and stood right in front of me. Mrs. Capita took my index cards and stapled them. Keeping them on her desk.
I had to get her somewhere else. She was going to break down around so many people. She was totally in shock, she wouldn't close her mouth.
Alexis
The bell l for the end of the day rang and everyone got up. They complimented Kyle's story and razzed him on the awkwardness of it at the same time. The two of us escaped to some empty section of the abandoned old library that was replaced by the new one upstairs. I hadn't said anything the whole time he dragged me there. I was surprised still.
He pushed my chin up and closed my mouth and I didn't even realize it was open. He laughed.
"Aren't you going to say something, Lexis?"
It took me a while to respond, when I did I said.
"Why did you do that to me?"
He smiled sheepishly. "Well...it's not exactly a necklace and a class-ring...but-"
I cut him off. "Why?"
"Well...because I'm in love with you." Kyle told me. "I'm simple, but you're beautiful, you're smart, you're funny, and I love you Alexis. I really do."
And then I asked the stupidest question of a lifetime. I swear he should've knocked me on the head for such a question. "You'll never leave me?"
He opened his arms, and I fit myself into them he held me against him and whispered in my ear. "Never. I'll never leave you."
And then he kissed me with a passion that burned me from the inside out, my heart was a bonfire and this time I wasn't getting hurt.
"I love you." he murmured against my lips.
I knew it was true. He did love me. Then I realized ...I loved him too,
"I love you too Kyle." I said back. He smiled and I smiled back. Then he kissed me again, his arms around me, our hearts beating and burning together.
I wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else.
