Teens and Cars: Advanced driver training and car insurance

Car Insurance for teens, driving training, advance driver training
In a span of just five years, the number of people killed by teenage drivers amounts to 35,000. Teens aged 16 and 17 are mostly responsible for this alarming rate primarily because of their psychological development, as studies have proven. They are still unable to make the right decisions in risky situations, especially when driving is involved.

Whenever teens are finally able to get their licenses and start to drive, they pose a constant worry on their parents. Teenagers these days have quite an impulsive behavior – add a bit of peer pressure and alcohol to that and you have a disaster waiting to happen. Which is why one driving program is made readily available to everyone: Advanced Driver Training.

With Advanced Driver Training, teens will be taught how to avoid traffic accidents and how to react to emergency situations. Not only will they be more careful drivers, they will also become more capable when making on-road decisions. There are several schools that offer teens the advanced driving program. One of the benefits of graduating from a specialized driving school, aside from becoming a better driver, is that car insurance companies often offer discounts to graduates.

It is a well-known fact that car insurance helps greatly with expenses when a car gets involved in an accident. Although an even more well-known fact is that car insurance doesn't come cheap, hence, even a small discount that a teen can get from graduating from advanced driving programs will help. Parents can always ask them to contribute part of their allowances to help with the car insurance bills but the point is, insurance costs are always skyrocketing so a 10% discount will at least ease a bit of the expenses.

Car insurance can of course be minimized depending on the coverage parents want for their cars – so if their teen undergoes advanced driver training, the fear of getting involved in an accident will be lessened. In turn, car insurance premiums can be downgraded a little to something that is more affordable.
