Teenage Princess - Chapter 2 Part 2
This is the second part to chapter 2. It's rather short but it's all I've got.
I skipped supper that night. I quietly sat in a chair reading a book, Then sounded a knock on the door. I got up and opened my bedroom door. Dominic stood there with a bright smile on his face. "Evening my lady, May I speak to you a mere moment?" He asked. I smiled softly then nodded. He walked in and sat down. I closed the door behind him then faced him. "How'd you get in here, because I doubt Adam let you" I said. He smiled widely. "Dear princess, if I were that use less what right would I have to watch over you from a distance?" Dominic asked. I rolled my eyes. " I never knew you had a right" I said. He frowned and looked at me straight in the eyes. "Not the things I'm here to discuss anyway princess" Dominic said. I took a seat beside him on the chair. "Alright then, why ARE you here?" I questioned. "I'm afraid you are in great trouble my lady" Dominic said with a soft tone.
Adam walked in the room and looked at Dominic. "If she is in trouble then the princess must be relocated" He said. I looked at him. Relocated they had to be kidding me. It wasn't that I didn't want to follow rules given, but relocated. Nu uh I wouldn't be moved to another place again. I was just starting to adjust here. I hadn't made any friends, But Dominic and Adam had been nothing but nice to me. Leaving would mean losing them as friends. "Princess, My lady are you alright?" Asked Dominic. "Yeah I'm fine" I said. " You zoned out for a second, You sure everything's fine?" asked Adam. I nodded and looked at both of them. "Do.. Do I really have to leave? I mean I've come to like it here" I said. "Princess you're in great danger and as your protectors we have to keep you safe and happy" Dominic said. "Well, As your princess, I say we stay here and you guys can still protect me.
I'm happy here. I've become accustomed to this life and I don't want more change" I said. "That's rather selfish princess" I heard a voice say in my head. I shivered and then looked at them. Dominic sighed. " You do realize this isn't something we can just mess around with, it would be safer for us to leave as soon as possible" Dominic said. I thought about the us part for a moment. "Does that mean you two are coming with me?" I asked. Adam looked at me and shook his head. " I'm afraid I won't be going with you, I have to stay here. It would look to obvious if we all left" He said. "Then why doesn't Dominic stay behind and you go with me, I was assigned to you in the first place anyway. I didn't even know who Dominic was till my first day of school" I said. They sighed and gave each other a glance. "Well Princess, I suppose you may have it your way. Though I would much rather I go along with you" Dominic said.
I quickly packed my stuff. Dominic drove us to the dock in silence. When we bid our farewells I bit back the tears the threatened to fall. I wouldn't cry, This was my life now and this is how it would be. I needed to be stronger and wiser. It was no longer a simple task but a hard set path ahead of us.
