Teenage Princess - Chapter 1

Continuation of the first part.
Supper didn't end up turning out the way I planned. So it was definitely the last time I stepped foot into the kitchen for a while. Adam decided we'd eat out instead to make it a little easier for tonight. "So how'd school go today?" He asked. I looked at him as I thought about it a moment. " It went well, I mean...it's school not much to say about it" I replied. After that we ate quietly for a while. The ride home was just as quiet. Conversation didn't seem like much or not to me anyhow.

Once I was in bed I just relaxed and thought about things. I thought about my future, if I would still be here or back at the palace. Would I decide to live a normal life...would I possibly tell Adam that I had fallen in love... I suppose in life there were so many options and only one would be the right path. Life was so confusing right now, and every single thought would only make me thing more. As I kept thinking, I drifted off to sleep.

When I awoke in the morning I got dressed for school. Oddly they thought they idle of a normal teenager was to go to some fancy Academy where there were strict rules and you always had to be polite. I quickly did my hair in a messy bun and walked down the stairs. Quietly I put on my flats and grabbed my bag. No way was I off to school today. Then I heard the steps creak. "Off to school?" Adam asked as I jumped at the sound of his voice. "Oh umm yeah" I said with a smile. " I could drive you if you like, Get some breakfast on the way" He said. " It's fine really, I'll walk" I said. He looked at me as though I was crazy. "Your schools to hours away if you walk" He said. I had no other choice but to accept. "Okay, you may drive me" I said with a smile.

Once we arrived at school, I said go my goodbyes and waited for him to drive off. Once he was gone, I started to head away from school. "Miss. Gloom, To where do you think you are off to?" A person questioned. I turned around. It was only a classmate of mine. I had at first thought him to be a teacher. "Wouldn't you like to know..." I said. "Oh come on, don't be like that" Said the boy running up to me. " I'm Dominic Preswire" He said. I looked at him for a moment. "Well Dominic it was nice to meet you but I must go before school begins" I said. Dominic moved closer. "Why don't you allow me to escort you... Princess?" He asked. Quickly I was shocked. How did he know I was a princess? Come to think of it how'd he know my last name? "Don't look shocked deary, I'm sure in time you shall remember me. But for now if we are going to leave we shall be on our way" Dominic said. I turned away from him and began to walk. I heard the crunch of his feet in the fallen leaves as he followed close behind. Whatever business he thought he had with me, he hadn't any at all.

I lead him to a river and sat down quietly. He sat beside me and set aside his bag. "You've no memory of me yet, princess?" He asked. "I don't know you though and that's the thing. Also what's up with all the politeness, it's really annoying" I said. He looked down. "Sorry Princess, I'm use to this politeness, it's rather unchangeable" Dominic said. I looked at him. His brilliant green eyes suited well with his dark brown hair and long eyelashes. I tried to think hard, just to see if I could remember him. But once I had left the kingdom, there wasn't much else to remember. "Dominic, you said I would remember you. But I don't. Could you possibly give me a clue as to who you really are?" I asked. "Think back to childhood. To the meadow where you use to play" Dominic told me. "You were the sweetest child. With your happy smile and your beautiful eyes that sparkled in the light" he continued. I thought again for a few moments and then it hit me. "There was a wolf in that meadow. He was merely a pup. I never remembered a boy being there... At least not in my view" I said. " I was that wolf, Celina...I was that wolf" He said as I looked at him frightened. Maybe I had walked into the woods with a psycho path and he was going to kill me, Because right now what I was hearing sounded completely crazy.

What was he talking about he was that wolf. There was no way in hell that it be possible.. No way at all. "I'm...I'm sorry but I... have to go" I said as I rushed to get up and leave. I ran as fast as I could to escape from him. Fear was strong as my heart pounded. Then I slowed down. He wasn't coming after me. That was odd. I hear the leaves crunch and then I turned to look behind me. There stood a wolf. Probably about 4 feet high with black fur and a simple with paw. Best I make a run for it.. But any sudden movement and he'd most likely kill me. I pressed against the tree beside me and stayed put. The wolf began to transform and take shape. I was shaking ferociously. The wolf took form of a human.. Sure enough it was Dominic. "Do you believe me now princess?" He asked. I looked at him and nodded. "I suppose you are going to head home now?" He asked. I nodded and walked away.

When I got to the house I took out my key and went inside. Adam's shoes were oddly at the door. I was hoping to god that he wasn't home. Even if he was I could be quiet enough to make it up the stairs without him knowing, But he came out of the kitchen. "What are you doing home so early?" He asked. I thought about it for a few moments. "I umm.. It was a short day" I said with a grin. He made it obvious that he knew I was lying. "We need to talk about something, after we talk about why you skipped school today" He said. It was kind of odd having someone a year and a half older then me treat me like a child. Adam acted as though he was my dad. I looked down and pretended to be sad. "Yes sir".
