Teaser - The Test of Time
New Story Idea.
Hey guys, this is an idea for a new story. Buzzle won't be posting the second chapter to my other story A Foreign Affair, because I made the mistake of posting it onto another website. Anyway, if you like the idea for this story, please comment to let me know what you think. Also, if you have any ideas to add to it, like events or characters, please let me know. Chad and Alex meet. They decide to date each other, but to just remain friends. Both of them are cool with that. Chad has a fear of commitment, and Alex feels she’s too young to be looking for something serious. They still see other people when they’re not with each other, and they form a bond that withstands the test of time.
After a couple of years of dating other girls, Chad realizes that those other girls just don’t feel right to Chad. After a long night of trying to figure out why, he realizes he’s in love with Alex. But in an attempt not to lose her and ruin their friendship, Chad decides to keep it a secret and hope that she’ll develop the same feelings for him.
Another year goes by, and Alex seems to be developing a serious relationship with another man. In one last desperate attempt to save them, Chad takes her out to dinner where he confesses his love for her. Alex seems upset and asks him for a couple of days to think about it.
Finally, two days later, she calls him and asks him to come over. Before she will let him talk to her, she asks him to watch something. She puts a movie into the DVD player, and on it, she is on a stage singing a song she wrote. After it’s over, she tells him that she sang that song more than a year ago, and she wrote it for him. She had been in love with him for a long time but didn’t want to scare him away because of his deep fear of commitment. She eventually realized that they would never be together, so she tried to fall in love with the other man to try to get over him.
Will they be able to keep their friendship with each other, and still try to take their relationship a step further?
