Tears of The Moon ~ Irascible - Chapter 4

"Maryn..." that voice.. I was running towards it.. I knew I was getting closer.. But it was as if every minute that passed was a minute wasted..if only I could go faster.. But where was I going? I didn't know where, just fulfilling that aching need in my heart and my mind.

I ended up in front of the central park.. For a while I ran along the pathway but then I began to go of course..towards the denser, untamed crowd of trees.. The sky of what I could see between the long branches was sparkling with the heavenly lights.. And when I looked down I realized I had stopped.. I could see a dark silhouette a little ahead.. There was a moment when all my senses started working at once.. I couldn't make a damn sense of anything..then I knew.. It was too late to be afraid..I walked on.. He turned towards me..My heart lurched. Eben.. At that moment the moonlight caught him amongst the shadows.. I couldn't breathe.. He was drop dead gorgeous.. Luminous.. I was lost in that smoke in his eyes.. I couldn't take it anymore, surely it was just another one of my silly dreams and I would wake up any second and laugh at myself for believing. I was backing away... when his eyes widened, a peak of untouchable emotion burned through him, he said my name "Maryn."..... and then I was in his arms.

I loved it, the feeling of him around me, strong and warm, the feeling of his chest cushioning my face, hard with his muscles but comforting, and the scent of him drove me mad all together. I could hear nothing but the crazy beatings of my heart. He pulled away a little so he could look at my face. I was entranced again in those light bluish grays of his. But it didn't reflect the inside, just a tiny part which I could not catch, but his eyes were mostly smoky, filled with the same untouchable emotion that I caught a glimpse of before and then he smiled..so incredible..my heart just stopped.. I didn't know what to say, I was just happy there, I didn't want him to ever let me go. "Maryn, do you remember anything, anything of those erased memories? "His eyes were somber, his voice, that same deep rich tone.

But erased memories? What was he talking about? I looked at him incredulously. He sighed, "I guess it's too early, I was being selfish and impatient, but I had to see you again." My heart lurched and my cheeks were probably the color of rose. "Looks like your body's caught up but your mind isn't awake yet", he grinned, sending me into a whirl of emotions. It was impossible to think when he looked at me like that. But I had to know; otherwise I would regret it later. Before I could even think of what to say, he was kissing me. Long and sweet.

When he pulled away, I was too shy to look up at him; I kept looking at my bear feet and fiddled with the grass underneath, "Eben, I need to know, what's happening. Why I feel like this?" he took my chin in his hand and lifted my face towards him. I thought he was going to kiss me again; instead he brushed my cheek with his lip and brought his mouth near my ear "I want to tell you everything, I want you to remember, it's not the right time and not the right place, and everything will be alright, now just sleep". "Sleep? Here?"... How was I gonna do that.. And why did he want me to sleep all of a sudden? "Eben. I..." and it was just darkness then..
