Tears Of Pain, Yet Joy
This is poem about how I fell in love with my best friend, but he broke my heart, and still does to this day.
The love of my life I had seen one day,
We became best friends for life.
He had a special girl,
A girl he had longed to love.
But they broke up,
And he went to me.
I thought that was the best day of my love life,
Ever to be.
But he turned on me,
Only but three days later.
Said he loved her.
I screamed and cried,
Sobbed and cut.
I didn’t want to believe the words he had said to me.
Then that night, I was at my friend’s house,
And he called me up crying and screaming.
He said he was so sorry,
And loved me so.
I said yes,
What a stupid sole.
He broke my heart again,
And ripped it up,
Only the next day.
I sat down on the edge of a ditch,
He store down at me,
And begged me not to reach.
I told him whatever,
My face white as a ghost.
I had planned on going to the bridge,
And ending the pain right there.
But the one girl,
The one girl I knew I could trust,
Changed my mind, just at one thrust.
I turned around,
Ran back to her house.
Told her I loved her,
And thank you for everything.
I called him up that night,
Told him best be thanking her.
He asked for what,
I told him for stopping me from losing the girl he used to love.
He said I’m sorry,
I told him f*ck off.
We still were faintly friends.
I somehow still wanted him back...
Don’t ask me why.
But I longed for that boy,
That boy who made me so happy and cry out with joy.
He said there may be another chance,
He just wasn’t sure at that point.
He said he couldn’t date anyone at that time,
And then turned to my best friend.
She turned him down,
Just knowing the truth.
He said whatever, and then turned back to the one girl of his dreams.
I yelled at him,
For he knew there was never to be him and me,
He said he did it for my own safety.
I sat and said f*ck you.
We became friends once again,
But once again he sat and broke my heart.
He asked what I would do,
If he asked me out once again...
I told him if he did that, he would never see me again.
I told him don’t even think of it, and I have to go home.
I left with disappointment, yet solemn and joy.
And still to this day,
I say I love you.
We became best friends for life.
He had a special girl,
