Tears Of Another Day
A teen with affluence and wealth, all to her bidding's. But why is she afraid? What dark secret is she hiding that may bring along tears of another day?
What have I done? I knew this would happen, but there must be a way out. Thought a jittery teen. Dressed in a silver dinner dress, she was the swan princess of the occasion. The breath-taking ballroom with its luxurious furnishings made of fine polished woods was at its brink with royalty, exquisite ladies and men with power. The dreamy effect of her surrounding only made her more self-conscious and miserable.
"Talia dear, here you are. Stop embarrassing me and relax. Mummy wants to have some fun and so should you. Now, now, my dear stop fidgeting and smile." Chided a gorgeous woman in her late thirties, sliding between the crowd like a professional dancer, she went beside the teen (Talia). "But Ma, you know I don't approve of all these frivolities. Beside I read that birthday originated from sun worshipers honoring their God every year, which was later emulated by the church to honor kings and monarchs, saints..." Talia but was interrupted by a frustrated mum. "Stop at once! I won't hear any of this today."
After all this is for you, I wonder why you bother to read all those books when you can have all the fun you wish.. "Here is the Mayor of Thin-stream, do enjoy yourself. Later!" Sliding towards a short dark gentleman, the Diva (as she would be known) turned and winked at her daughter who stood watching, mouth agape, as she disappeared in the crowd. **Hoof! Thank God she don't suspect a thing. Mum is annoying and also the Diva but I love her all the same. I need to find a way out before it affects her also.** Thought Talia.
She sat on a cushioned chair and picked a punch drink from the tray of a passing waiter. Feeling the heavy weight of worry on her neck, she rewind the past few weeks and how she feared for everything she treasured.
