Taylor Swift Lashes Out Against Tina Fey and Amy Poehler

In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Taylor Swift made it clear that she doesn't appreciate being made fun of for her public love life.
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler made many jokes as hosts of the Golden Globes, targeting many celebrities along the way. But Taylor Swift wasn't laughing, and it seems as though she's still a bit upset about that evening. In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Swift dropped the following line in response to her feelings about Fey and Poehler's jabs: "You know, Katie Couric is one of my favorite people, because she said to me she had heard a quote that she loved, that said, 'There's a special place in hell for women who don't help other women.'"

Obviously, Swift might be taking the jokes from Tina and Amy a little too seriously. When people ascend to the heights of celebrity and fame that Swift has already achieved, comics and regular people will tend to make fun of them - that's just the cost of doing business at that level.

But Taylor Swift is still a very young woman and, despite her incredible career and global success, she's likely pretty sensitive and still trying to figure out exactly who she is as a person. It's hard enough for people who aren't famous to take control of their lives and feel confident at Swift's age. To try to accomplish those things under the intense microscope of public scrutiny that Swift endures is hard to imagine.

When told of Swift's hard feelings about their jokes at the Golden Globes, Amy Poehler acknowledged that she would likely be burning in hell at some point - but for tax reasons. She went on to express some sadness at the fact that Swift was upset with her. Ironically, Poehler and Fey are considered among the strongest advocates for women in show business.
