Tarot Cards

Tarot cards are an advice method for metaphysical readings, the experienced tarot card reader often has a special relationship with the cards, & rituals are often followed for their use.
In this article I will talk about your relationship with the Tarot Cards and how to prepare for a reading and tune in to the Tarot Cards. It is much easier to do a Tarot reading when you are in a relaxed state of mind and I try to set aside quality time to prepare for a reading in advance. You will find that you can interpret the Tarot Cards far easier when you are in a relaxed state of mind than when you have just come to the reading. Prior to a reading I may light some incense and just relax and listen to some music, and I sometimes read a poem or some inspirational quotes. This helps me to prepare mentally, physically and psychically for the session and I know this helps with my connection with my Tarot Cards.

As a matter of course I regularly do some meditation and balance mind, body, and spirit and in the past I have found that yoga can also assist with this. Once I am relaxed I feel centered and calm inside and I feel very positive about everything and I am likely to relate positively to the Tarot Cards and my subject.

It helps to have a relaxed atmosphere when doing the readings and sometimes candles and some very soft and quiet music can provide a good ambiance. I do not use incense or oils when I have a sitter present because the smell may not appeal to them and they could have an adverse reaction.

Sometimes I just sit with the Tarot Cards and slowly sift through them looking at the pictures on each one, and let my imagination build a rapport with the cards. I find that this exercise stimulates my intuitive ability and ignites my psychic ability and puts me in the right frame of mind for working with the Tarot Cards and doing a reading.

I like to maintain my concentration when doing a reading and I have developed a special ritual for shuffling the cards. I make a point of not getting into too much conversation with my sitter as this I find can affect the reading. I like to keep the flow of the energy sharp and clear and answer the questions of my sitter without encouraging too much chatty conversation.

Shuffling the cards has an important influence on the reading and each diviner has their own way of shuffling the cards. I like to shuffle my cards in such a way that the energy is stimulated and alive and flowing. I find that the quicker they are shuffled the better and I do not like the sitter to see the cards as I am shuffling them. I find that by keeping to the same ritual when shuffling and turning up the cards I build up a special way of working with the Tarot Cards.
