Taking Care of Hands
Many people often ignore taking care of hands. Read on for some tips on hand care for soft and gorgeous hands.
Tips for Taking Care of Hands:
With the constant use of chemicals because of harsh detergents and soaps, it is always advisable to use gloves when you are doing the dishes or washing clothes. Always use a mild soap while washing your hands. Besides, after you finish any grueling job in the kitchen, always use lotion on your hands to protect them and soften the skin.
Daily moisturizing is very important in hand care. This is because, although we don’t realize it, we are constantly using our hands throughout the day and this can cause peeling of the delicate skin. Our hands also give away the signs of aging; therefore even if you spend oodles of money pampering your face, your age would always reflect through the skin on your hands. Sometimes there may be excessive peeling and cracking of the skin; therefore, daily moisturizing would keep the skin soft and supple. This is one way to prevent your hands looking wrinkled and old.
Taking care of hands is especially required during the winter season. In fact, for many women, the winter season can be the most difficult time to maintain the skin. The dry winds and the freezing outdoors do not always help the skin. In such cases, moisturizing the hands would be the basics. Hand care for the winter season would also require you to wear gloves when in the outdoors. This would help to protect your hands and prevent it from the loss of moisture in the skin. Therefore, be kind to your skin and develop the habit of wearing gloves. Use cotton gloves if you are working at home as cotton is definitely a safer option as compared to rubber gloves. If you are a beach bum, the most appropriate hand care routine will always be the use of a sunscreen of a reputed brand. This would prevent the ultraviolet rays from harming the delicate skin.
You must have gone for endless massages for the body and the face in particular. Do note that a massage for the hands can be equally rewarding. This would help you to feel relaxed and also help to increase the blood circulation. With this, all those little aches and pains can go away in a jiffy! You can even do a hand massage at home with the help of some moisturizer and hand lotion.
Have a manicure done once in a while. Well-filed and beautiful nails help your hands look beautiful as well. Manicures can even be done at home. The most popular shape for the nails is the oval kind, but you can experiment with the square shape as well. Soak your hands in warm water and add some lemon juice to it. This will get rid of all the grime and keep the skin soft.
If you basically have dry hands, once you finish washing your hands, use some salt and wash them again under water. Once done, dry them and use a land lotion.
