Take A Nap

A Few Spare Moments are Best Spent in a Nap
Take A Nap

A moment here, a moment there
Time slows to a crawl
Nothing better to do
Than fall into a nap

At work, at school,
At the car dealer waiting room
In the car parked at the grocery
In the highway rest area
Sitting in the passenger seat
In the room watching tv
Nothing better to do
Than fall into a nap

Blocking out the rest of the world
Talking, I don’t hear
Conversation, I don’t join
Advertising, I don’t listen
Wife, sorry
Kids, find something else to do
Nothing better to do
Than fall into a nap

It is involuntary
The body calls
For a nap
In the afternoon
Mid morning
Early evening
Work days
Off days
Nothing better to do
Than fall into a nap

A moment here, a moment there
Time slows to a crawl
Nothing better to do
Than fall into a nap
