The company had it beginnings in the Swiss village of St Imier in 1860. Edouard Heuer establish his watch making workshop in the village and set about creating accurate watches that also looked stylish and desirable. Closely linked with sport and time measuring Heuer was the first to measure 1/100th second accurately.

The Link range is as popular today as it was when it was introduced. Initially it was called a Sport Elegance watch when it was introduced in the late 1980's. This range was re-launched in the 1990's as the famous Link range. And it has recently been updated again to reflect current trends and tastes.

The link bracelet famous for its form and style is made from highly polished steel. A hard surface that deters marks and scratches. The connectors on the link are designed to be hidden and no pins can be seen. Most of the range has a level of water resistance to 200m. The face is polished sapphire crystal, a very hard material to handle wear and tear.

Some of the latest releases include new Electro-Magnetic technology and a move away from traditional form of three dials on the face. To produce the accuracy the brand is famous for take 230 parts and 5 tiny motors.

Tag Heuer have always had strong advertising campaign and since the 1970s celebrity endorsement of TAG Heuer Link watches has been the norm. Today Tiger Woods and Uma Thurman are just two who front up for Tag Heuer to promote the Link brand.
