Sympathy Card Examples
Many of us falter, when it comes to writing sympathy cards. Let us see some examples given in this article. They might get you out of the fix.

How to Write a Sympathy Card
- Stationery: It may sound trivial, but using good stationery is quite important, while writing a sympathy card. It shows that you value the person who passed away, and also the person you're sending the card to.
- Tone: Since it is a sympathy card, you can feel free to express your grief. Just make sure that the language is not too casual. It is a sad moment for the person, and you'll only make it worse if you use a jocular tone.
- Length: Generally, wording in a sympathy card should not extend more than a few sentences. You must keep in mind, that the person is grieving, and the last thing he or she needs is a 15 page letter about the person he already misses terribly. So keep it short and simple.
- Time: If you're wondering, when is the appropriate time to send a sympathy card, you can send it as soon as you hear about the death. A period of 3-4 months is alright. After that, it could be difficult for the person, who may have just started healing from the loss, to go through the task of reading sympathy messages.
Example: 1

| Dear John, The sorrow of another's loss is best understood by someone who has experienced his own. I loved Ted like a brother. Being snatched away from our midst, is an unfair twist of fate. But I assure you, that though we feel betrayed by our Almighty Father, trust in Him, for He has called upon our brother Peter, to watch over us, from right beside Him. We are safe in His hands. Jake. |
