- Provide as much rest as possible to your throat by talking less and consuming the right food. Avoid eating cold, spicy or sour food products.
- If the pain is too bothersome, try taking some painkillers to relieve the pain.
- Use throat lozenges to soothe the throat and eat soft, properly cooked food that will not be too harsh on the swollen tonsils and your throat.
