Easy Swiss Steak Recipe
Ingredients
  • 2 pounds round steak
  • 3 tablespoons chopped green bell pepper
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • ½ cup chopped onions
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • Salt and ground pepper
Directions
Cut the steak into small pieces. In a saucepan, add the flour, salt and pepper, and pound the steak pieces in to the flour. Now in another saucepan, add some oil and brown the meat well. Add tomatoes and onions to the pan and cover it to cook on low flame for about 1½ hours. Then add the green pepper and cook it for another 15 minutes. Skim it off well and serve hot with some onions and lemons.

Swiss Steak With Mushrooms
Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 8 ounces fresh sliced mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons chopped onions
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1½ pounds boneless round steak
  • ½ cup flour

Directions
In a large saucepan, heat olive oil and butter over high heat. Saute the onions and mushrooms till they are tender, remove them and keep aside.   • 1 cup flour
